The fact sheet sent to us is sort of vague when it comes to PS Now for the PS TV. All it says is when it is rolled out in Europe we will have it available. Not sure if this is just directed towards Europe's PS TVs or if that means that the launch will happen everywhere after Europe is in.
Yes it's a separate entity. This game is going to release free to play with purchasable in game options. There will also be a physical version that will cost money and should come with vouchers for in game stuff.
Well since the Vita seems to be racking up niche rpgs I think it's a good possibility we will see Dissidia 3 on the Vita soon.
That would be cool to see, too bad Nintendo is too stubborn to allow the Wii U tablet to be used on anything other than the Wii U. Then again programmers and hackers have surprised us before so you never know.
I'm not sure how this wouldn't be considered a win for Microsoft when Sony has twice as many PS4 systems out than Xbox One systems and the same amount of PS3 systems out as 360s. Not to mention all of the pushing Sony did to persuade buyers to get Destiny for the PS4.
The bottom line is this game should have split in Sony's favor in terms of sales, and that's not the case.
They've been stressing that the game at the events that they show off is still an unfinished product. Maybe the rope moving is in the final build.
Technically it only takes 5 hours or so to beat Call of Duty yet people put 100s of hours into the game. The PVP in Destiny is enjoyable and, coupled with the loot collecting, should make this game an easy 100 hour game.
It was reported to us from Capcom that the retail version is 39.99 despite being able to buy all packs digitally for 24.99. Not sure what will be included just yet, but I would assume what Inception has assumed isn't far off.
The first party line up on the Wii U is second to none. The issue a lot of people run into is you can't "just own a Wii U." The third party support has been bad and a lot of games like Call of Duty and Assassins Creed would be missed. I think a lot of people who own a Wii U will also end up owning either a PS4 and Xbox One to cover those third party games and the Wii U will become their second console. I love my Wii U, but I wouldn't be able to own just a Wii U.
Screw the new games let me take a look at that Dreamcast Saturn section.
Doubt it, piracy was one of the big reasons the Dreamcast failed. The Xbox One probably won't run into piracy issues as bad as the Dreamcast.
I think all gamers need this race to be a lot closer than it is. Competition is only good for us. I really hope the Wii U can get some third party support so we can have 3 strong systems battling it out.
Blue Dragon was fun, but got repetitive to me. Lost Odyssey was one of my favorite RPGs early on for the 360 and would love to see a sequel on the Xbox One.
The PS3 is now the system to buy if you want awesome JRPGs. We saw this with the PS2 when it was getting towards the end of its commercial life with games like Persona 3 and 4 being released.
Microsoft had a hard enough time selling Xbox 360s in Japan compared to the PS3 and Wii. Early reports are saying there isn't a lot of interest in Xbox One in Japan. Microsoft needs to pull out the big guns if they want any type of chance in Japan.
Yes they are, look at past TGS in particular 2007 when the PS3 was new like the PS4 is. In 2007 they showed off games like Motor Storm, Uncharted, Gran Turismo and Elder Scrolls IV. Games like Persona 3 and 4 were pushed to the PS2. I think Sony is pushing the smaller game IPs that are not named Call of Duty because they know its already been established that they will have the best experience for those games 9 times out of 10 due to the more powerful hardware. Sony did not get this into thes...
Its funny how they say eliminating manuals is to go green, yet I still find 3 or 4 inserts in some games that are just advertising.
I only bring up the screen resolution because it was a glaring issue with the original model that was worsened with the XL and its stretched image to match the 5 inch screen. I'm more concerned that after buying this I will see another revision in a year with a high definition screen.
Yeah that was an editing issue/typo at the time. Sorry about that :)
The DS4 is actually compatible with the PS TV as well!
Also I see no reason to buy any of the alternatives since this box seems to do everything the others do and a lot more. Sony just needs to put it in front of consumers as a do everything box that's dirt cheap.
