"How is she spreading hate? Her entire video series is pure negativity, designed to state that the video game industry is sexist and misogynistic. In her previous......."
I never saw that video soo I would not really know I will watch it when I get the time.
"She rambles on, using dictionary french and a high school understanding of........"
I don't see how rambling on about evidence is bad, also from that video it is ...
How is she spreading hate and negativity? Did I miss something? When I saw the video heard facts. She never came on biased to me. She just explained where the origin of the Damsel in Distress plot device came from, how it evolved, and how it is used in video games. I also agree that peach is just a goal, she doesn't HAVE to be in the game. They can just make a Mario game about Bowser messing things up and how Mario saves the day. Yes she rules a kingdom but the game rarely takes about it ...
Well you are right that both Peach and Zelda are important to the character, but its just because of the title they have. I watched and (im guessing you did too) the trope vs women part 1 and she states it very well. Just gonna paraphrase here, she says that the females in the damsel in distress role are a goal. Which I agree. I mean replace Peach with like toad, or someone else. Would it really matter? not really. The actual characters have no substance. From what I can see, it is the fact t...
Jesus, I read the argument and the your blog (did not see the video though). Agree with your blog, consumers pay with their dollars and sometimes we have to bite the bullet and pass a good game because of bad business/developer practices.
Also in relation top the argument....Jesus Christ, it hurt me a bit, and this one comment he said just blew the load.
"Seriously, stop this "challenge" bullshit over internet talk over video games, like it mat...
jesus christ i meant panicking....holy god I might as well through my PC down the stairs.
I do disagree that they shouldn't add full on multiplayer right in the beginning. Make it so that new players have to beat a certain level ON THERE OWN with out progressing. Having help in the beginning, and then going through the rest of the game can really hamper the learning curve. How many time has a Demon/Dark souls player summoned someone for help on a boss only to have the boss get like 3 shot by the player you summoned.
Players should beat the first level on there own to p...
Holy god, its this type of attitude right here.
"PC owners never used to come to console thread"
Is that a damn joke??? cause this is ridiculous. So You heard it here on N4G cause if you are a fan of PC gaming then don't even bother visiting a thread about console. I mainly play on PC, so am I not allowed to be in the thread and talk about games? Jesus Christ that attitude boggles my mind. I come to websites like these to talk about video games ...
Yep. Loved the game Narrative. It was the only game that I sincerely enjoyed without having "fun". This game is like watching a mystery movie (Psychological thriller). You don't really have fun watching those movies, but you want to see it through to the end. Awesome game, There isn't a game like it that I can think of.
Im pretty sure most people who dont like the game agree that the AP system in the game is its main flaw. I mean in every fighting game you have to be careful and watch your health, but in this game you can through caution out the window and just wail on people. As long as you just dodge their supers. This is just my opinion but that system just sucks.
Yes you are right to an extent. Selling power is bad in Free-to-play. The good F2P games don't do that like Blacklight, LoL, Dota2, and Planetside2. Some people don't have time to play 100 hours of a game to get to a higher lvl. Also some people catch on games quickly so they are wrecking people the same lvl he is. Which is why boosts in F2P games exist. A good F2P game is balanced around the fact that it is F2P. Thats why when some subscription games go F2P it turns out awful.
Jesus....so you think the fee to play model is bad??? The free to play model depends on the game, get off the stupid notion that free-to-play=Play-to-win, because it doesn't.
I am some what confused with this but I see this as the gap between console and PC. This has massive potential. From what I have heard, Valve can give the license for a company to build a steam-box if the so desire. Which is pretty awesome to me. You will have companies competing to build the best steambox. Also the push for linux is really awesome too. If this manages to succeed, it will create a ton of competition. This video I found explains the steambox really well.
Don't know why people are saying Udraw didn't wasn't at fault. The Udraw tablet is biggest reason THQ is finical problems. I think they lost about $100 million from the Udraw. Udraw was THQs biggest failure.
I don't see the problem. The review gave the game a 6.5 which is "fair". One of his thoughts are that the game is complex. Some might see this as a turn off or turn on. It was a turn off for the reviewer but I can imagine if you do manage to put the effort into learning the combo system then you will enjoy it. I played it at NY comic-con and I liked the battle system.
One thing I definitely agree on is the topic on health bars. I didn't like the way the AP s...
"That guy was probably exaggerating. Sony is a really nice company. They probably let him down easy."
I......you....just read what you type...Do you think exec's at Sony are going to say "Oh hey man im sorry we didn't back up your idea, here is a coupon for a Sony TV and cookies on the way out"?
Picked up Saint Row: The Third, and Metro 2033. Definitely recommend people to at least check it out. THQ is in some financial trouble and it would suck if they went bankrupt.
I think there is some confusion. What I am saying is that its stupid to complain about PS Plus. People who say they are loyal, who also buy games on day 1 pay more because of the reasons you just stated.
Personally I don't play my PS3 that much anymore, but I would so opt in for PS Plus if I did.
"And it will continue to not have enough support because you and other core gamers continue to not purchase the system. Not buying the system is not going to make it get any support. What you're doing is not helping. Keep that in mind."
lolwut? That thought process...ok fine let me buy products that I believe are sub-par and not worth the money, so they can get my support...
Before People start helping the PS Vita, the PS Vita has to help itself...
Same, not really in MMS games. Besides since its selling a ton of copies so it has to be doing somethings right.
"I feel more comfortable playing as a dude."
That's understandable. You want to relate to a character as much as possible. Emotionally and physically.
"I can't see females as strong characters."
This does sound a bit biased. If you can expand a bit more about this because I am interested. Is it that you can't see female characters physically stronger? Or is it more than that?
