the system looks cheap and old-school, blade runner style, it's quite interesting, easily carried in a backpack or a bag, opens up possibilities for a significant price cut
wow, could "the industry" be recovering?
there are a lot of people into gaming that haven't bought a current-gen yet but would like to given the occasion like having a place to fit a console and tv or getting a job or finishing school.
nintendo is riding on people that still don't have a ps/360 with the wii u
congratulations :D
also don't forget the do-it-yourself collections:
Motorstorm (3 games sold separately on PSN and/or disc)
Ratchet & Clank Future (Tools of Destr. disc, Quest for Booty PSN, Crack in Time disc)
All 6 games at b-bin prices
Looks like the new Sony execs in Europe have some brains and have an understanding of the real world, this is news, maybe the rest of the company will follow
bribe the media or hire hitmen
Oh man!
Assassin's Creed 3 will follow Resident Evil 6, Battlefield 3, Rage and Mass Effect 3 when arrives via two discs for Xbox 360
big media site, big publisher, big franchise, big money, 9/10;
expect exact same score for BO2, AC3 as well as H4,
wouldn't be surprised if the Forza spin-off and MoH get it too.
money or not money, not making a monster hunter for PS3 and Vita - complete refusal to support Sony's systems makes no sense in terms of sales, furthermore making a MH for Wii makes no sense whatsoever, the platform is neither suited nor the audience interested in grinding monsters!
April/May 2013.
Yep, this is what Sony has done. Intentionally or not. The Japanese development has failed - GT5, Last Guardian, FF13, vs13, other JRPGs are few, generic and archaic, non-jrpgs are classic franchise iterations aimed solely at the west (Resident Evil, Metal Gear, DmC). The Japanese gaming space is contracting and retreating to Nintendo platforms, which are safe havens for quirkiness, nostalgia, technical inferiority and archaic design dating back to the 80s/90s. There's no longer a place f...
I still want to believe the current super-slim price(-rise) is just temporarily there to clear the phased-out model without price-cutting it (a huge loss for Sony) and a new price will be announced afterward in time for Wii U launch...
This isn't a matter of installed base or anything wait-and-see. The 3rd party just doesn't support handhelds: PSP, DS, Vita, 3DS. I think it's because game dev became largely a corporate domain, and the execs and managers are too lazy and incompetent to care about portables, it's easier for them to manage a single 3-year multi-million-dollar all-or-nothing ps360 project than have to look after multiple small-scale handheld games
there are 500GB FIFA 13 bundles all over Europe, so it's either GT5:AE and UE3 or FIFA 13 to choose from, not everyone plays football on a console and not everyone is interested in shooting and racing :)
Get it on your Vitas! maybe S-E will notice and release FFX :P
No it didn't sell out. They just never began selling them because of a huge stock of the discontinued models they want to clear. The new models are available for pre-order if someone desperately wants one...
that wouldn't be the only similarity between the two system as they both have half the memory dedicated to the system and the other half to the game plus a separate embedded VRAM
I think the Wii U features a 4-core power7 processor, but one core is reserved for the system and not visible to developers, just like PS Vita; mystery solved :P
there's gonna be a new console from nintendo, is not that enough?
