The thing is. How long can ps5 run the cpu at 3.5 and the gpu at 2.3 aka max clocks. Why doesn’t Sony just state what the thing is gonna run at or can run at on a consistent basis and if power isn’t needed the clocks will go back down to base frequencies.

Overclocked rdna cards use a bunch of power and have diminishing returns at higher clocks. Its all for sony to play the numbers game and make their console numbers look better compared to the SX

Im pretty sure Lumen is. Its just not named Lumen but Nanite you're right. I got it mixed up because they were using Quixel megascans to show off nanite unless again it may be in early stages in ue4 before being fully supported in UE5

Definitely not. Thats like saying the current ssd's are bottlenecking the RTX 2080ti. and they're most definitely not lmfaoo

Powered by Quixel which they acquired not too long ago. Don't even need to read the article. The Nanite and Lumen are in UE4 but they just didn't have official names.

The Nanite tech was in UE4. Quixel put it into ue4 before they were acquired by Epic now the tech that quixel made is not native to ue5 development.

doesn't mean series x cant do it lmfaooo.what are yall gonna say when ur5 uses all of this and runs it better on sx?

Man, it's gonna be funny seeing how everyone that thinks the ps5 is more powerful and can do things the SX can't will go back on their words. all because they didn't wanna accept it.

They don’t wanna hear the FACTS.

Nintendo Switch????? Damn

2158d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

you'll be fine. my cousin was running it on an fx4300 so you're definitely good.

2178d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

its because its a pretty decent resolution difference. as well as some optimizing because theres definitely more power on tap with the X

@dumahim yup

You sure. The Series X has a consistent 12tf a consistent 3.6 clock with SMT, faster ray tracing ( i say this because RT is per CU on RDNA2 and the xbox has 52cu's vs ps5's 36) machine learning, and always 10GB GDDR6 that is 112GB/s faster bandwidth. all ps5 has is a faster SSD but thats if they can keep that non-variable as well.

2185d ago 10 agree7 disagreeView comment

2304 vs 3328 on series x

2185d ago 10 agree3 disagreeView comment

Xbox still has 10GB of ram that is 112GB/s faster bandwidth along with memory learning. 2tf more give or take, higher cpu clocks with SMT on, and faster ray tracing because if ray tracing is implemented per CU the Xbox SX has 16 more CU's which tells you...... the xbox has more RT capability. Bruh its so many things the xbox just wins in and yall think the SSD will do something.

2185d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

By far but thats not because of the speed. Thats because of the texture itself and having enough memory for that texture to sit it. The speed will show improvements in LOD and how fast that LOD will reach its full detail. and now that instantly.

2185d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Because the clock wasn't high enough to match the floating point performance of the ps4. Don't be delusional. PS5 is still gonna lag beind in FPS or resolution. I feel as if only exclusives are gonna show why sony implemented that fast of an SSD.

2185d ago 2 agree9 disagreeView comment

We also cant forget that SX has 10GB of GDDR6 that is 112GB/s at 56GB/s faster than the PS5's 448GB/s

Hell yeah, so many games this gen still have outdated game logic. Like NPC's are still so basic. Hopefully the jump in CPU power will be invested in so many overhauls.
