If it's multiplatform, it can't be Killer Instinct, Microsoft acquired the rights to that franchise when they acquired Rare.

Dead? No matter how much someone may hate the franchise, it's far from dead. Look at the insane hype just from the MW3 trailer a few days ago.

This thing will sell tens of millions again.

Microsoft and CDProjekt probably struck a deal for exclusivity most likely.

Each COD game is in development for 2 years, that's why Treyarch and IW take turns and do one every other year.

For example, Infinity Ward CODMW4 development began in 2005, after COD2 came out that year.

Treyarch began development on WaW in 2006 after they finished COD3 that year, and it came out in 2008, while Infinity Ward was working on MW2 in 2007 after COD4 came out that year. World at War came out in 2008, as soon as that was finished they began de...

Don't mean to burst everyone's bubble, but this is really grasping at straws here guys just to flame COD. To be fair, pretty much every sequel to a game recycle their animations. Devs cut down significantly on time and money that way.

I'm not saying EVERY animation is recycled, but a good deal of them are.

Do you seriously believe developers make brand new animations for everything in a game from scratch for each sequel to their games? No way in ...

Animations look awesome.

Baird looks REALLY different though.

I still love the games. Not because of the name, but because they bring me enjoyment, that's all. And this is coming from an all-around gamer, not just a shooter fan.

I love shooters, racing games, RPGs, RTS, etc.

(Never bought their overpriced DLC though =D )

It's Call of Duty, no planning needed.

They didn't have to "plan" anything. Just coming flat out and announcing MW3 normally would do that.

Can't wait for this game.

But damn, anyone else think Gamespot's video embedder sucks ass? Playing it in HD and still blurry as hell.

Call of Duty looks like a Call of Duty game?

WAT!???

5390d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'll be there day one if true.

Great list.

I'd add Uncharted 3, Infamous 2, and Gears of War 3 too.

Goddamn, talk about grasping for straws.

What is it killing that's great? Last time I checked, there are a ton of awesome games that are coming out and will continue to come out. Instead of blaming Call of Duty, why not blame the developers who themselves choose to follow/copy in its footsteps?

I also find it extremely naive to think COD itself makes kids the rotten turds they've become now. Society as a whole has degenerated, bad parenting and questionable social environments are what take their toll on ki...

People do realize it's owned by Microsoft Game Studios right? There's no way they'll let it come to the PS3.

5394d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

No one's forcing you to play the game. Why do you want the franchise to die?

5394d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

Release it, then I'll actually care.

ARGGHHH damn it...

Can you give me a link to this "confirmation"?

So soon? They were working on it before ME2 released.

2 years is typical launch window between sequels.

Edit: Don't know what the disagrees are for, Casey Hudson said they started working on ME3 before ME2 came out.
