i've got a feeling apple is gonna come out with a console. if they put something like this and a dx10 beast in it, it will blow the current consoles out of the water with apples popularity at the mo.
right now plasma has the best picture and motion tracking, lcd still has a bit to go as far as dark colours and motion tracking goes. but you cant beat the price/performance of lcd's

its a good year for gaming i mean the ps3 has a great lineup .
the 360 also has an astounding line up and currently the pc is seeing a resurgence in capital being put into it.

i think people overestimate the cell. yes it is a very good processor
don't quote me on this but hasn't it got one 3.2ghz core and 7/6 (can't remember)cores at 0.7 ghz.
pc's are already at 8 core 3ghz with crazy buffers etc.
all these people bashing the 360's cpu are you thick it has a triple core 3.2ghz.
none are slow in any way
which for some tasks (i say some not most) has more raw power because of the architechture
i think people forget sony aren't exactly long standing in the game industry. they have ONLY had 2 successful consoles. think of the past like spectrum etc household names then all of the sudden gone, nintendo and sega were both the sh*t when i was a kid, and they both flopped (i know nin have now came back)
think about apple they were big early ninties the boom gone now back again.
don't be so confident the ps3 has just as much a chance of failure as any console.

they better improve the whole thing imo. pes6 on ps2 was better and more feature packed than the 360 vers
