I think epic is pissed with M$ at the moment because epic wanted to update GOW like they do with Unreal T games but M$ made them charge and didn't give them enough freedom.
I think this and the xbox unreal T situation is a power play by epic basically telling M$ they are not the boss, and epic will make games the epic way

Lair = yes good graphics, but the gameplay looks bland and boring

Graphics aren't everything boys, it may have the most annoying gameplay going, we just don't know yet.
I was quite impressed by the character models although they obviously need some tuning, my main concern however is the textures.

I think that the 360 doesn't really need a price drop as it is very reasonable for what you get at the moment.
I would like to see the PS3 come down quite a bit, because in UK it is more than twice the price of the core which is a big difference.
It is also more than 50% more expensive than the premium.(Although if you shop around/haggle you can get quite a substantial package for about the £300 mark. which makes the PS3 even more pricy)

none will win, dvd is smoking both at the moment and if they ever do catch up it will be to late as digital distrobution will be the way of choice.
I personally prefer HD-DVD at the moment cos it is cheaper to make, apparently more feature packed, cheaper for a player, and i think 300 is a hd-dvd exclusive (don't quote me on that as i am not 100%)
