Correction, the Rift is for Steam(not only PC) and not only will the Rift run on PC when it launches, but it will also run on Steam Machine consoles(which launch by the end of this year).
Too bad with all that resolution there will be no customization for the mechs or the pilots...

Except for the fact that any game dev will tell you that it is a nightmare trying to makes games for the PS3 and even more a hassle porting any game to it. If it wasn't true, Sony wouldn't be making drastic changes with the PS4.

Very little in this guide matters due to the simple fact that the game has two specific bugs still since alpha that will reset your vehicle rank back to 1 randomly once you max it out which will roll your EGO rating back as well.
The other bug is character randomly being deleted, yup. It hasn't happened to a large number, but it does happen more than it should.
