Wasn't those X360 free games stuff only running through the rest of the year? In that case why to even bother compare it with PS+? In that case it is just one temporary move to keep X360 owners half happy so they don't jump on the PS4 hype-train...
Maybe I will get an X1, maybe if they drop the price or maybe if it removes the paywall or maybe if I get free games everymonth or maybe only if they do all that or maybe not...not sure
In many countries of Europe that might not be the case, EU fights monopolies which opens the network infrastructures for everybody(telecorps) hence new technique is used and price competition starts which give us better services for less money.
It's up to the goverments to choose between protect consumers or lick big corporation's asses.

Knack is just one of those games that it will just be fun to play, I recall Kameo on the X360 giving me the first next-gen experience, the flying dragons at the far end looked awesome then...these kind of games reminds us why we still game today, at least in my case, almost 35 years later still gaming, maybe lot less hence the importance of a platform that can deliver the best of everything...PS4 is that platform for me

If I already have a PC like other millions of folks? Not really a selling point :S ...same thing was told last gen about ps3/x360 as a cheap possibility for video conferences and so on..nothing happened...games sales consoles...lots of X360 sales were due late PS3 launch and RROD...this time will be tough for MSFT

Wii? It's about sales or what's delivered to gamers? I can easily say what Wii titles I played and got the Wii for...on the other side it' s impossible to do the same for PS3/X360 as they are countless
Never gamed on PC more than Another World, Monkey Island and a couple more...discovered the convinence of consoles since PONG, Coleco, etc. and never needed more, lots of great games there...recall having a blast with the mattels fotboll, baseball, etc as well but handhelds felt always a downgraded experience until PSV showed up, good ther are options but at my age it's easier to justify gaming on TV than in front of a PC just because one alreasdy sits enough in front of PC for other dail...
Don't count Epic, let alon behind GOW games, but any games in general

GOW is just a franchise MSFT relies on but like Halo, those that added the special effort to provide something new in every new interation of the franchise they created (Epic & Bungie) are now gone.

I doubt I would purchase a 800 EURO console...anyway, the PS3 WAS WORTH 599 when i got it, opened the package and compared to my X360...silent, shinny pretty, slot loading DISC drive, upgradable HDD, solid HW (could use it to demolish a house), NO power brick, BR player, built-in Wi-fi, controllers used lithium batteries, optical audio output, HDMI, Bluetooth and so on...
Actually my noisy and plastic cheap X360 became all of the sudden expensive...by that time I had already ...
Nothing wrong with the camera, the thing is that SONY didn't do MSFT mistake, trying to sell something with features that are rather a plus when you pay for that device.
I got the PS Eye because of the Eye of Judgement, later I got Tori-Emaki (so relaxing, my girls loved it!), The trials of Topoq, Singstar, Mesmerize and the App to create videos which my kids had lots of fun with it, I used to chat with my bro on the other side of the world....last game was Start the Part...
They might not do it in the beginning since there's not competition but after the PS4 exclusives start releasing they must to in order to compete for sales on that platform (PS4), there are som publishers and devs that always want to deliver the best game possibles and those will start it and others will follow as no one want to deliver a multiplatform that is inferior to other multiplatform games on the same console...it's just a matter of time.

SONY is a HW manufacturer as well which positions them with a unique advantage over MSFT, they have better relations in that area at lower costs as a result of long time partnerships.
That's why they can deliver quality HW, higher specs at lower costs even when there might be a loss it's not as big as if it was MSFT delivering that HW... no power brick and still a slim console says everything about design and component used by SONY, X1 has probably no lock for the di...

What MSFT has yet to explain is how supposed "power of the cloud" will work now? Games can be played offline now, so:
-will you get an inferior version when offline?
-will the game be playable at all?
-will developers take into consideration that game can be played offline?
-or was it just a BIG lie(one more)to justify the obvious inferior specifications compared to the PS4
The X1 at this point feels more rushed than the X360 at its...
"Explained"....again ? I guess it's pretty clear that all those restrictions are not attractive to gamers so it doesn't matter how you put it...the only good explanation would be "Sorry, we taking away all that stuff so you'll get a X360 2 which is what you actually want"
By the way...never heard of this site...I guess as time goes it's becoming harder and harder to find sites that still have the guts to defend MSFTs policies with the X1 ...

I didn't even know "polygon" existed :S.. still haven't visited the site and don't need to, I have already my favourites where I find enough info and articles about gaming.
Don't have much free time to game but Demon's Souls was the first game in a long time to keep me trying to beat a boss until 3 am and keep thinking about it at work the whole day....beat the game and got som bad ass swords, spells and armor...started playing Dark Souls and it just wasn't the same maybe because it was same experience but more polished...I'm now looking forward to the next Demon's Souls-like experience in any game genre.
I guess for newcomer...
