Actually last game I took off for and pre-ordered was MGS4...after that really didn't care anymore,.one more day or week to play a game, no difference to me...it just didn't feel the same, too much PR around games, loved the time when gamers hyped games nor people that don't even play games themselves...I guess Kojima had right: "War has changed..." it was metaphoric about VG industry:P
They need to acquire more studios, create new franchises and become a real VG entity rather than rely on 3rd party deals A la COD, Titanfall or "exclusive" TV features
Exclusives games optimized to use their HW, that's the only way to compete and that's what customers want to see, no promises
I really never care how PC( PC should, in the paper, be always superior) or X1 version performs, the only thing I always care is that my main gaming platform is used right an delivers a experience according to my expectations, I never invest in something to get something else, do I get a Wii U then I don't expect less of what I know it can deliver, on the other side I'm not happy with less.
All new products have an investment cost, Morpheous is not even out so how can you calculate losses? Payoff time might be until next gen, who knows.
Be happy both companies take risks for you and I enjoy of a different gaming experience, many projects get cancelled ever year without people knowing about their existence, glad this 2 made it to market

Agree with you, the sooner the stop porting to last gen the faster we will get into the new gen but the success of both PS3 and X360 is hard to ignore for publishers, it might take a couple of years before we are there, last FIFA was on PS2 was released last year so I think many franchi...

I don't think I even played a 1/3 of those called AAA games nor think I'm alone in that one so this might just be a consequence of not succeeding in milking a franchise within a short period of time or just trying to sell via hyping a game.

This is different, was a fully PS3 focused game but thanks to ND engine is PS4-ready and the port-friendly PS4 architecture, this was possible without much effort, many on PS4 have yet to play the game so they benefit from it, this doesn't hurt anybody, we talk about a great game.

I have been gaming for too long to buy that crapp, whatever they show is rather a technical demo, MSFT is the only publisher today still using CGI trailer to promote games that are way too early in development
What happened to that "we don't show games until they are within 6 months of its release"
I loved the Xbox, the first years of the X360 and will probably get a X1 down the road when finally all those exclusives games are out but until then...

Worshiped Halo...with Bungie, the rest is just one more game like all Call of Duties, sure, it's a 1st party game so production values are high but it still misses the Bungie heart.
I buried Master Chief when Bungie did but I'd love to see Halo 2 remake rather than a new game, it would be awesome to finally play Halo 2 co-op as it was planned before MSFT just pressed Bungie to release Halo 2 without the planned features.

Master Chief is rather the typical hero, man with no name/face så everybody can identify with it...women kind of left out by Halo...
Anyways, the only game that really has made me feel I'm the character is Metroid:PRIME, one of the best games ever!!! Man eller woman can play this game and become the character
I have the feeling SONY will surprise us with an RPG, western or japanese-style? Don't know but that would make sense, PS4 is like the reborn of PS2, they sold their Square Enix shares... SONY getting back into RPG s would definitely affect SE who are releasing their own in the near future.
I took that as a signal SONY is reviving the RPG genre among their franchises...maybe this is rather a wishful thinking from my part than reality...but who knows;-)
Titantfall tops the chart with help of PC numbers, I wonder if X1 really sold more than inFAMOUS SS?...why the X1 official numbers for Titanfall are nowhere to be found?
I haven't played it so I'm happy if this happens as, it's in my must-play list on PS3 before moving on later this year to PS4
