Looks great. Polygon has a really in depth article about how they are changing the narrative too. Which was definitely the weakest part of the game.
I can't wait to play it. Just wish we had more to do in Destiny this summer.
Definitely going to make things interesting. I am going to be so nice to my friends lol
@Moe-gunz: Did you play Shenmue and Shenmue II? They basically pioneered the Western RPG's. It had some awesome ideas that are present in many games today. And games over the years have refined most of those ideas into much better implementations.
However, the reason it did poorly on Xbox was that it just wasn't very good at the time. The gameplay mechanics were horrible and it had so many glitches. And the graphics were not good for that system at that time.
...
For me, I would say it was PC. Sony and Microsoft showed some cool things but PC seems to have the most exciting future.
True, I can't imagine any gamer under the age of 23 that would even know what they were cheering for. Although in the case of the FF7 trailer it was a very impressive CG short.
Let's be real haha. The main reason Shenmue was never finished is because it didn't really sell well at all and to be honest it wasn't very fun to play. As for Last Guardian, this wasn't even the reveal. It was revealed over half a decade ago.
Final Fantasy 7, well I guess if you are into remakes.
I thought Sony had an amazing conference, but not because of those games. It was because Uncharted, Horizon and Dreams looked amazing.
They have already said they have something special for level 30+ gamers. Plus none of those items affect gameplay. If anything be mad at the PS Exclusive content which takes actual content away from gamers that paid full price for the game.
If they did, there would be no way to charge us twice for the same game on PSNow. Seems like a bad business move.
Uncharted came out a full year after Gears.
Well at least you are talking about it haha. But seriously, everyone I know is talking about it. It didn't reveal much but it was nice to see the new engine in action.
As far as conferences go, Sony was more exciting. But as far as what I am excited about for the holidays, Xbox dominated.
Was anyone else's ship date pushed back? Originally it said I would get it today but now it shows it ships on the 25th
I thought it was a pretty powerful moment based on the history of the game and studio. However, not really a game I am personally that excited for. I mean, I am excited to see more but what they showed wasn't that exciting.
Uncharted, Horizon and Dreams were the games from the Sony conference that really excited me.
Those are just copied and pasted from the official site everyone already visited. Still not much details either way though.
I have a feeling all First Party games will go to PC once Windows 10 comes out. It just makes the most sense for Microsoft. They want Windows 10 to be the ultimate gaming OS. And I don't think it is a bad move at all. Xbox One will still make the most sense for all gamers that do not have a gaming PC and we will all be able to play together regardless of which system we choose.
Where are the "more details"? haha.
Based purely on watching the trailers, demos.. I thought these had the most impressive showing.
1. Horizon
2. Dreams
3. Uncharted
4. Tomb Raider
5. Battlefront
But as far as games I am most excited to play.
1. Halo 5
2. Destiny The Taken King
3. Uncharted
4. Tomb Raider
5. The Division
6. Battlefront
I really liked that segment. Didn't give too much away but definitely showcased the lighting and squad based gameplay.
I suppose that is fine once the group has been formed. But traditionally I use party chat to get everyone together. I was just curious more than anything, and kind of hoping this means we will get 12 player parties now.
It looks very Windows 10 like. Which is good. Wonder if they removed snapped apps. Strange that they weren't present at all. I do like the new overlay for Party, Messages etc. And if they did remove snapped apps I won't be very upset. Had pretty limited use and bad performance.
