Blizzard released Diablo on consoles. It sold extremely well. And they are still doing great on PC.

Me too. Especially now that the Skolas fight is more balanced.

If you were to take a camera with around a 50mm lens and look through the viewfinder that is about exactly what Hololense view is. However, Humans have a much far wider view which is why it looks different.

Cost and weight would be my top guesses. The original prototype was full FOV but it was also tethered to a high end PC.

Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Super Mario would all be top sellers on PC for sure. I don't think there is even a debate on that. The only thing holding back Nintendo's games are the console they are available on.

@NewMonday: But what about Sunset Overdrive and TitanFall? Both games were Game of the Year contenders and new IP's. Is Microsoft not diversifying their catalog with games like that?

That was my point. Creating good new IP's and marketing them isn't the secret to selling systems.

I thought it was interesting that the main component of the Microsoft partnership with Valve VR and Occulus was to make a single VR API that would make development easier for Programmers. I wonder if Sony is going to use that API for Morpheus as well? Be pretty awesome if all VR games could run across the different VR hardware.

Gamers are reluctant to jump into original content. Sunset Overdrive was universally praised and marketed to high heavens but still did not sell that well. In fact, a broken collection of Halo games destroyed Sunset Overdrive's sales.

Same with Titanfall, critical hit, marketed to hell. MCC outsold it.

Haha, yeah. I can already see my controller breaking after hydroplaning into a wall on the final lap. I can't wait though : )

I love the series, but I would much rather they focus on new games. As much as I love that game it is pretty long and unless they changed the story I can't see myself investing all that time again.

However, for the younger generation I think it is awesome. They definitely need to play FFVII. Although they will probably hate it and think the combat sucks.. damn kids haha.

I have already found a couple of good uses for it. Didn't think I would use it, but the convenience of connecting my console to both my Tablet and Desktop has come in handy a few times already. Although I would prefer they just start releasing X1 games for PC as well as Xbox now that they have the universal model in place.

Not really how it works. The aren't removing any gamers from their audience, only adding.

Same reason I would like to see Microsoft and Sony release all their games on PC. Having three consoles and a PC is such a waste when clearly the PC is capable of running the games from all the systems.

Very nice. I can't wait to play!

They still have some great games and ideas, but they really need to go third party. They can no longer sustain an entire ecosystem.

It is completely optional. Gives independent developers a great way to fund and get feedback but you don't have to participate and can wait for the final release.

@KionicWarlod222: Good to hear. I love the idea of snapped apps, but haven't really found much use for them outside of Party and Friends. And it was too slow to make those instances very good.

@Moe-Guns: reason I asked you, was you said Western Audiences do not like games like that. When Shenmue is considered by most as the father of Western RPG's. Of course not by its theme, but by the mechanics it introduced. Personally I hated the gameplay of Shenmue. It felt clunky and like a chore. And many of the reviews for the Xbox version pointed that out. Great story, and very forward thinking ideas but horrid gameplay.

Awesome write up, thanks. Hype level is overheating!

They didn't say anything about altering existing Supers/Subclasses, but almost every expansion has exotic gear that alters/enhances supers and subclasses so it is probably safe to assume that will be the case in Taken King. Speaking of Exotic Altering Supers, how awesome is that Nighthawk helmet!
