True, they don't have the accolades of Naughty Dog, but 343i is MS's version of Naughty Dog in regards to being their most important studio. It is a huge team that has some of the best dev talent in the industry. And they just happen to be working on the biggest franchise in the console's history.
343i is definitely MS's biggest studio. Any year they launch a game is special, similar to Naughty Dog on PS. Throw Tombraider, Forza on top of that and it is one hell of a lineup. Embrace the hype, this is going to be an awesome holiday!
Is coop local or online or both? Game looks really fun with a companion.
I already have Killzone, Knack and Infamous, which is the point. Although honestly there are many Indie games better than those titles.
Can't they just add it in as part of the game since it isn't even out yet?
I will give you the secure part. The rest though, I disagree.
As long as there are exclusives that are good, I will own all consoles. Do I like having to spend all that money for machines that are fundamentally all exactly the same, no. But until they all make games for one platform, what choice do gamers really have.
I don't think they are ruining PS Plus. I actually think it is better to have Indie games on PS Plus than Older AAA titles. Not because I think they are better games, but because if those AAA title's were any good we most likely already have them. As long as they pick good Indie titles I think it offers good value.
Not a bad deal at all.
I thought about it really hard haha. But I am not caving in :D
Well it has me hyped!
Great value at 10 dollars. Many of the criticisms are valid. It is repetitive. But I had fun repeating the same things for the 6 hours it takes to beat the game. If the combat sucked I would say it isn't worth your time, but the combat is actually quite rhythmic and fun. Except for the parts where you have to shoot. Those parts sucked, but there are only a couple of them and they go by quick enough.
And the story arc that sets up the third act is really awesome.
@_EDMIX-_ Very first link I clicked on was Assassins Creed. It says it comes on a CD lol. Then down below it says it is a CD with a link to a digital download.
There are already 4k games on PC. And yes, mostly Digital Only.
I wonder how much sales of games go to regions that do not have good online? Would it be enough to offset the costs of packaging, shipping, paying the middle man? I would imagine it is getting to the point where it just isn't worth the hassle from a money standpoint.
Although that does suck for the gamers stuck in that situation. But not as bad as having bad internet probably.
It depends. Most of the games on all consoles are actually quite small, but that is because the majority of games are indie titles that do not have the money to make large games.
You do still have blockbuster games that could be as big as 60GB though. But if you know you are getting the game, they have pre-download options on consoles now so you can download the games multiple days ahead of launch to solve this issue.
But I do agree, size and bandwidth do ma...
I have been digital only for quite a long time now. If you are lazy it is the only way to go haha. But in seriousness, my understanding is that digital sales are surpassing physical by a large margin this generation so it seems this decision is being made by the gamers.
@Volkama: maybe where both are available, but even that trend is changing pretty quickly, as the numbers from GTAV are showing in the latest quarters. The majority of the library for PS4 and X1 is digital onl...
Me too haha. It actually kind of sucks they are doing that. Paying more for an early release is frustrating but also probably will be good to give those servers an early test.
Not cool Konami! But to be fair, copyright takedowns are all done by code these days. Internet is too big to treat them on an individual basis.
The device, ui, and remote are all very nice. Not a serious gaming console but at least it outputs 1080p which puts it ahead of PlayStation TV.
For 150 and many free to play and cheap games it seems like it could be a nice starter console.
