This is one of the worst compare video that I've seen in a long time, and N4G is infamous for posting shit comparison videos like this.
If I want to my video game characters to be Hollywood ripoffs I would play Capcom games. There is no need for another Ellen Page episode, specially one with a well know franchise center piece like Drake.
Forget about PC vs console, Planetside 2 does a great job of making everyone feel like a peasant. The constant prompt to insert your credit card and the long, slow, epic grind for certs will crush any desire to launch this game.
Giant wall of text for the lose.
I just lost 10% of my brain after watching this vid.
Direct X 12 is more of a PC gaming thing anyway. If the Xbox One is heavily dependent on Direct X for performance boost then something is definitely wrong with the coding.
The last Tomb Raider game was fantastic so this really burn for the PS4 fans. PC gamers on the other hand are used to waiting for a port so it's not a big deal. I'll make do with Uncharted but I enjoy Tomb Raider's pacing more.
There is way too much run and gun in the last Uncharted that I feel the franchise may have lost it's way. Drake is no longer the scrappy adventurer when he used to be, when he has to slaughter a dozen mercs every 20 yards. I just hope ...
The Rift haters obviously have never experience one first hand. In some game genre such as racing and flight sims it will be it will be impossible to enjoy the experience without one. It's amazing. The sensation of actually being inside the vehicle you're piloting is a game changer.
I would take EA Access in a heart beat because the value I'm getting from the PS4 PS+ is trash. I have zero interest in the crappy indie games that Sony is pushing but if I can get Madden or BF 4 for cheap, count me in. Sony is only doing this protect their slack ass, nothing more.
I think the incompetence and greed of Sony and Microsoft is the reason why digital isn't succeeding on the console when it is completely dominating the PC landscape.
Like you said the issue is price. There is simply no value to buying digital on the console, where as the frequent and irresistible sales on Steam drive purchases like a stampede. So brilliant is Steam sale strategy that many PC gamers simply end up buying dozens of games which they will never ever play. <...
Resolution is only important when your platform come out ahead. It's not important vs the PC because of "the exclusives". It's the classic Playstation troll logic that infest N4G. In fact if the PS4 doesn't exist the fanboys would constantly cheer on "The power of the Cell" and how it isn't maxed yet. Nevermind the fact the Cell was such an absolutely fiasco that Cerny's PS4 might as well be called The Anti Cell.
PS3 fight stick doesn't work with the PS4. This is just how it is. Deal with it and buy another set or you can race on the PC. In which case it's going to cost you a lot more than another a racing wheel.
Nothing new about this. Having to toss aside peripherals as you go from one generations to another is the norm. Surely you guys must be aware of this when you paid for a racing wheel that cost more than console it's plugged into. If you don't like how the system works then leave the expensive toys in the PC gaming world where they belong.
Not like it matters anyway. If you love a genre enough to buy a racing wheel for it on the last gen, then you will certainly buy an...
I doubt it. After the initial nextgen rush every title I've played on the PS4 have been a total meh. The sad thing is that the best nextgen titles are remakes like The Last of Us and Tomb Raider. Scanning the list of games in 2014 I don't see a single title that will wow me. Except for Grand Theft Auto, which is another remake.
I'm gaming in 1440p right now and I have to say that this will become the next standard in the gaming world. You get the best both world really, increased image quality from the resolution bump and performance without breaking the bank. With a slew of phones and tablets already coming out at this resolution it won't be long until it becomes the next standard.
If Sony is designing the PS5 with anything in mind this 1440p resolution should be the one to hit.
Street Fighter: Remastered Delux HD Edition
I want to buy this game but I fear the community won't be as good as the PC. This is particularly true for the hardcore mode where console players population is frequently a ghost town.
Its a lack luster MMORPFPS. The game's scope is incredibly limited for the hype they're pushing. If someone threw the same budget into Borderlands it would result in a superior game in all regards.
The difference here is that Netflix and Amazon have value. They are a gold standard and well worth the price.
I would take EA Access in a heart beat if I could. It's a far better deal than PS+ which is filled with indie trash that Ic can buy from Steam for $5 and don't give a damn about. At least I get Madden and a few RETAIL games with EA Access.
Speaking of which are we finally going to get retail PS4 PS+ games at some point this year?
