and how long was FFXI out before you installed it for the first time? you should expect a big update the frirt time you play. again its a MMO...

i assume it does what is advertised, it just doesn't do it very well.
what a fuk up. the beta was so horrible i canceled my pre-order. the fact that most testers didn't even get to submit bug reports was another thing that seemed odd. the next thing that was done wrong was how they didn't patch any of the problems that the community complained about. for example camera control bound to i,j,k,l and no way to move them. this lasted the entire alpha/beta stages, i still dunno if that been fixed.

if that's what MS wants to do then so be it. i had many years of great gaming from my 360 and will drop it as soon as the day comes when MS throws in the "core" towel. some of us have minds of our own. i already have a ps3 so im set. after gears3 we'll see what's up. although i think MS is going to bring out the next console soon.

the game was tested throughout its development. that's what internal Q&A is for. just because they didn't release an open beta to the public doesn't mean it didn't go through the process. there is also XBL and PSN certification.
obviously it wasn't enough, but there was no way in hell activision would delay the game.

welcome to n4g. lazy developers, review sites/developers being paid off by MS and boycotts of games that made the jump to mulitplatform.
SS:C is selling for $10 new, GoW3 was also $20 a few weeks ago. im glad i waited, i won't spend $60 for a 10 hour single-player game anymore.

what happened to 1080p/60fps? get that to be the industry standard then worry about pushing 3dtech.
and this "3Dready" advertising at retail stores reminds me of the early days of HD sets claiming "HDready" but in reality were just 720P sets. who knows how many more hdmi/3d revisions will be made in the next 3 years? its just not prudent to make the investment now.

this is bad news in a any form. the game is in serious jeopardy now that people are not playing the PC version.
