I had a lot of fun with Wildlands & I haven't played Breakpoint & never will because it requires internet connection to play the campagin. I don't buy GAAS games. $60 for a rental just isn't appealing to me. Additionally It looks like they have Divisioned up GR with Breakpoint & I don't like the Division. This is me thinking for myself, not going by any website. They lost me at mandating log in for single player.
I'll just say this. I'd personally rather play Wildlands or another game that's not Breakpoint, & I'll be able to play it in the future when the servers for Breakpoint have long been closed.
The anticipation is unbearable! ... Lol.
Yes. No internet connection, no playing single player campaign. Ubi servers down? No play. When they decide to shut down the servers in the future, no playing. Essentially a GAAS game.
That's cool, not trying to dump on anyone's enjoyment & I haven't tried the game for myself. Just going by what has been presented & discussed online & my own personal taste.
I was one of those that was upset over Breakpoint's internet requirement for single player campaign. That alone was enough to refuse it. I put hundreds of hours into Wildlands but the more I see of Breakpoint, the more of a step back it seems to be. Maybe I was upset for nothing. The game looks to have Divisionitis & survivalist additions that may have not panned out into anything substantial.
Like Slain, the art & music is awesome. Unfortunately I didn't care for the game. I hope Valfaris is better.
I would say that those who wait are more rewarded than those who preorder or buy day one. Preorderers & day one purchasers get to play the game earlier which is really the only bonus they get. For those who wait, they get a cheaper price & probably a better experience with the game after patches; especially if the game had some serious annoyances at launch.
Waaahhhh... thanks for the enlightenment. :)
See Staticall's comment.
I don't play online MP but I think that if crossplay is what the console user base wants then they should get it since they're paying for an online "service".
Whether it's x or cross it certainly doesn't unite all gamers.
This first part is two blu ray discs full.
Looks awesome! One of the few upcoming games I'm interested in.
"The first new feature you’ll make note of, and the one I personally really appreciate, is that this game does not force you to team up with 3 AI companions when playing the game. You can still team up with 3 of your friends online to take on missions as a four person crew of course, but unlike Wildlands, it allows you to go your own way in single player by default." You can do this in Wildlands.
#1- Can't play SP without a internet connection. No buy for me right of...
Yeah, internet connection requirement to play single player is a no go for me. I don't & won't buy GAAS games.
Now that crossplay is in full swing I don't see a problem with letting people choose peripheral they want to use.
Maybe they don't want to play on PC or deal with windows OS. They can use their kb/m on their PS4.
Possibly, but I think he'll do alright doing what he wants to do. Personally, I found Death Stranding more of a curiosity than something I was truly excited for & the more I find out about it the less curious I became & that I'm most likely not going to play it.
You don't have to follow if you feel that strongly about it. You can stop here & play current & past games & still never play them all. Don't just blindly buy. Only buy what you want the way you want. It might not stop an all digital future but at least you know you didn't contribute to it.
I believe we're already half way into digital (no game ownership) even if you have a disc which is almost just become a key to play a game. Day one patches & update...
They are really pushing terrible characters aren't they. I guess they assume it will sell regardless.
