I have both consoles and I do like the Xbox but mainly because of the BC and Forza.
Everything else has been better on PS4 and I really thought a year ago last E3 that MS was turning things around and do some good things. This guy kills it. He's only interested in 12yr olds running around acting stupid online pretending they are so cool because they learned some curse words.

Invest in games instead of any of that crap. Forza is literally only franchise I'm keeping my Xbox around for. This is a very sad E3 so far. At this point Sony could simply just show another TLoU2 trailer and sweep this show under the rug.

Not requiring a internet connection just to setup and use the damn thing would be a good start. Don't understand why I can't use a offline profile. Least Sony still has options for us rural dwellers.

I'd be willing to bet that if there are announcement it will be a main game with added VR content. Maybe a indie here and there but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I've heard it's pretty good but haven't tried it. I stopped at black flag. I think by time syndicate came out gamers still felt burned out on the series especially after horror stories of Unity.

You should try 4 or the ezio collection. I was a big fan of AC but my last one was 4. Unity sounded like garbage and I still have the code that came with my Xbox that I never downloaded. Syndicate got pretty decent ratings and I was excited to hear they dropped MP but other games just got in the way. I also have PS4 so the backlog filled pretty fast.
Yeah the Black Flag devs made a surprisingly good game. I think it was just at the right place at the right time too.

Honestly, hardware is only as good as the developers. Example, you can have a super PC at home but that's not making your open worlds run better or the AI behaving differently. You'll only be able to set higher graphics and that's only dependent on what the developer put in the game.

Yeah I don't see the need for anything next gen after PRO and Scorpio as far as consoles need be concerned. Both have the ability to take advantage of 4K tech, while growing, is still nowhere near market saturation like 1080 is right now. Look at how many Sony games are announced that do not have release dates or dates to come out in 2018. WTF would they start a new gen in 2018?

My thing is I live in a very rural area with no real internet except for mobile hotspot or satellite so this whole digital/always online shit companies trying to implement will just make me buy fewer games or just stop all together.
