Living in a area where my only option is lte hotspot or satellite these streaming devices are not my future.
I’m buying less games because of it. And honestly I feel next gen will be worse. There’s no way I can go all digital, some games are larger than my monthly cap. Mostly reason I mainly play SP on PS4 because you aren’t required to have game updated to latest version to play it unless your playing online MP. Only way to do that with my Xbox is to put in offline mode and the whole damn console pretty much looses all functionality at that point.
It’s about having to DL that large of a file to begin with. People with good fast internet (like yourself I assume) don’t seem to understand that there are people with data caps, 5-15mbps internet speeds, or worse as only option depending where they live.
For those people having that large of a patch could mean they will have to wait a couple days or more before they can even play the game they bought.

I think MS and Sony should feel compelled to do it. As much as I hate to admit that digital is becoming more dominate and PSN and Live are well established ecosystems at this point.
Many people have gone all digital this gen and it would suck not to be able to carry over your digital library of games to the next generation.

GameStop is already closed imo. I used to go there all the time and had been since EB games days. Only reason I’m glad they stick around is to keep physical distribution alive.
They did this to themselves. Filling stores full of overpriced junk. Giving crap money for trade ins and charging damn near new prices for pre owned games and systems. Trying to push a subscription service to customers. Remember them trying to sell you used phones and tablets? They put up a store every 3 blocks.
Or a nice trade skill. People still need housing, and those cars will break down.
But kids don’t want to get hands dirty anymore, sad when I ask my nephew what he wants to be when he grows up and he says “professional fortnite player” smh.

They are releasing within 2 weeks. Not sure how much content they could add in that time. Hopefully after a few months they will have major patches but by then it’ll be too late, hell it already is actually.
By the time fallout 76 is in a better state we will all be talking about next gen consoles and it’ll be game over for this.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery though so I’m sure Bethesda will get back on track.
