At the moment, it's very easy to get rid of, but there are strong hints on the official forums that soon it will become much more of a threat.
I've already seen people trying to get groups of zombies together to raid cities. Blizzard have really stepped up a notch lately \o/

The Hallow's End event was the first one Blizzard really went all-out on last year. Shame the boss isn't as challenging this time around (we killed him with 3 of us a couple of days ago) but it's still good, and the achievement is excellent.

There is pretty much widespread Zombieness now, you can't go to any town without seeing corpses, of infected people running around. Great stuff.
