Green hell just does more of the same thing the Forest and others have already done. The element on mania is interesting, but it really did not help the game (particularly in co-op). The tedious character maintenance turns into a chore...and who wants to to chores?
What's ironic to me is publications (history since 2020) making statements like this when they have no idea how the old shows used to be or how vastly different and directed these events are. Seriously, go soak your pretentious heads.
Milestones is kinda like the Atari collections. A ton simple "nostalgic" quarter-pissers and one title actually worth playing more than a launch or two.
The Ninja Warriors was one of their biggest and most expensive creations at that time. The visual and sound quality and great coop made this a crowd-gathering center piece back in the day.
What’s worse?, the person making a hack-job crappy clone, or the person knowing they are buying an obvious crappy clone and complaining about it?
“The bold developers”. umm I’d really avoid calling them developers. Repurposed engine Templates from a crappy common binary spewing easy to use me-too “dev” app with loads app copy and paste, totally classic skid style. Honestly, the entire process plus the flawed in-place methodology to release it were very, simple and inexp...
Agree with most but XIII was an an industry shaking fail and mocked openly for it. Not sure how that made the list. It is practically unplayable.
and MOH Rising sun was a another technical mess un-marvel that was a step back from previous entries that got rushed out the door.
Black and ColdWinter really brought FPS on PS2 to. whole new level. Love em!
It's a miss. That polish that DP was known for is not up to snuff here. It's also really sad to see GT go the way of vulture transactions and even sadder for the fans/loyalists to defend it.
There were two notable Basic Biotch moves this year, one was going to Coachella, the other is jumping on board with NFTs.
Monie$, lots of it. That speaks so much louder to MS (and others) than the worst Kotick could ever do.
Yes, straight up clouded/blinded by opportunity and greed. Aaaaand…only a select few will reap those monetary/valuable benefits, so it’s an even bigger dose of Shi77y corporate play.
Real good look guys.
Got it. Basically a huge add disguised as a game, plus a bunch vulnerabilities and constant updates. Sweet!
There is also a youtube-era infliction and issue with inserting personal opinions , themselves or worse, their cringe-ass persona as the main subject of the game or experience (it's not about the "anonymous Gamer experience" anymore). I remember when there were breakdowns of the dev teams, music, inspiration and so much more. These days it is VERY shallow and more of a half-assed regurgitated advertisement for the said game in review. Which is where we basically are at today, w...
Ummmm. Until they can meet the overwhelming demand, there in no room tout BS like that. Games and tech are great, but if a large percentage of the Playstation user base is still on old hardware due to asinine shortages/ fulfillment, the statement is just as asinine. It needs to come out in full force and availability. I mean wtf? Author sounds like over dedicated sports fan. Next.
If cyberpunk is limited to UV and Neon lights, sex toys/robots and cyber-drama with weeby tendencies, then this is for you. That's not the kinda cyberpunk I wanna snuggle up to. It's vast yet so painfully shallow. A step backwards from the likes of Deus Ex and System shock. The Mainstream fad-chasers eat this shi7 up, and that is EXACTLY who CDPR were aiming for.
Not sure that I want easter-puke deviant art looking crap pile inserted into an Igarashi game.
Should def untag Industry and Dev. Kotaku ain’t nothing but an opinionated hobby factory.
Love the “I” candy in here that jumps to “We” to include the reader into the writer’s own opinions as if all gamers think alike.
I think that was the breaker for Doublefine's creative ambitions and their mixing of genres (which was getting kinda stale). It was a nice to look at but it was more of a tribute to the many things Tim loves, was influenced by and has great admiration for....but the forced RTS stuff was like a drinking buddy's "great idea" that never should have come to light. The game seemed a lot more vast, but it ended pretty quickly too. And Jack Black. As much as I don't care for hi...
Oh yes. Thank you. I will take a huge dose of Ron Gilbert any day. This totally is in the feels. Grog! Grog! Grog!
What E3 are you talking about? The Pre-2005 industry related era shows or the post 2005 shows for media and gamers/fan-hard consumers? If it’s the latter what’s the point?
And ...once had more grimace face than every tacobell bathroom combined.
Miss them old Max Payne facial expressions lol.
Lol what? long overdue?
“improvement in revenue”
Oh, this is financial and operations opinion
= You the gamer are not the one who should be gleeful. The off-the-cuff supportive comments are like pure self-ownage.
“While the Darkstalkers series hasn't been getting much support from Capcom besides re-releases“
Support is they got re-released and are still available online for sale = not much support from the figurine collector. Nice.
Capcom Teams have focused on other IPs. Darkstalkers is not a $ big driver. Annnd…is a totally different biz than toys/collectables/brand merch. Highly likely the production proposal was not even initiated by Capcom, but that is who...
