It was an ok game but to name it in the top 5 this gen is a little out there. I guess some people like walking around shooting out lights. Maybe Rainbow 6 Vegas, Battlefield: Bad Company, COD: WaW, Left 4 Dead, or Far Cry 2 would have been better. The rest of the list is fine though.
What is Killzone 2? I've never heard of it. It's an FPS right? Sounds like it should be pretty sweet. Can I get it for the 360?
I don't think anybody can actually think this is better than KZ2(and be right). That being said, it's still a top notch fps. I'll be purchasing this game within the next few days for sure.

That being said, GI isn't the low score here. EDGE is what everybody should be ignoring. Everybody(even the xbots) know that this game isn't a 7. An 8.75 is a good score, maybe a bit lower than it should be but nothing to get your panties in a bunch about.

Aha! See, when I said his logic is flawed, I was mainly just talking about playing the game and deciding for yourself. Reviews(as well as demos) are a great way of helping you decide whether you should rent or buy in the first place. Then if you rent it and like it you can still buy it and when you buy it you make your own informed decision on how good the game is. Last time I checked, you can't play a game until it comes out and even then you have to buy/rent it to play the game. Of course people are going to make their own judgment after they play it but until then they use reviews to see what other people thought of the game to help them decide if they should buy/rent the game. Yeah, I expect that most of the reviews will be 8's with an occasional 9 or 7 but even from just the demo I can tell it's not a 5. I think Eurogamer just thinks they are funny.
I'm betting that this game is going to catch a lot of people off guard. I think it could be one of the best games this year. It will be a good day for RPG fans the day it comes out.
There has always got to be that one score that doesn't go along with the general consensus. It's why they discard the highest and lowest score when averaging scores in the olympics. There's always at least one idiot that is on crack.

Yep, it seems that people don't enjoy a simply solid game anymore. Everything has to be OMGWTF Killzone 2! All these people that only play the best of the best games are truly missing out on some solid titles that fall just short of greatness. More than just a few times, I have played a game that I thought was just going to be decent and it turned out to blow me away. Broaden you gaming horizon people!

Yep, FEAR was fun and the demo for FEAR 2 was kick ass. I'll be picking it up on release day most likely.

The reason it can be tough at higher difficulties is because they get super dead eye accuracy and infinite grenades to throw. Add in a million of them and it can get pretty rough. COD4 is a great game but the AI isn't anything special.
