There is nothing wrong with th PS3 2007 line-up.
This makes 2008 PS3 line-up even stronger.

September is when the 'HOME' public beta launches. LBP demo is at the end of year with the full game launching 08.

Sony should just sell upgradeable drives in different size's for the PS3 like: 40Gb, 60Gb, 80Gb, 120Gb, 160Gb, 200Gb & 250Gb. Rather than more SKU's.

ALI G - None of the Nex Gen consoles did a simultaneously world wide release. It was'nt just Sony that annouced it, Microsoft & Nintendo did also. Just they decided against it, and did a staggered release instead.
This could be fixed by a firmware upgrade from Sony.

The PS3 still has a great 2007 line-up that can compete with 360's and Wii's 2007 line-up.
As for PS3 having unknown franchises get real.
Warhawk, Hot Shots Golf 5, UT3, Folklore, Call Of Duty 4, Devil May Cry 4, Ratchet & Clank, Singstar, GT5 Prologue & loads of others.
All are long running PS Franchises, part from UT3 which is a PC franchise.
