Thanks! It's the first in an ongoing feature, so keep an eye out every week or two.
The customization is non-existent. I mean, you can equip your character and level them up (to the level cap of 10), but there are four rigidly defined characters to choose from. You can't change race, class, gender, or physical appearance. When you first start, you don't even have any attribute points for your core stats to assign.
One of my favorite D&D based games was BioWare's Neverwinter Nights. If there is/are a god/gods, BioWare will do a full HD update ...
I agree, 60/100 is a low score just for customization. It was one of the major contributing factors to the score decreasing, though, along with the way the auto and manual saves worked, and the other issues raised in the review.
Other people seem to be running into a lot of glitches in the game (I only ran into one, and it resolved itself during gameplay). When you look at everything they left out in an XBLA game that's been in development for over a year, it becomes some...
I'm not quite sure I follow. Was your statement sarcastic and in jest or were you implying that I actually think that Sweet Tooth was going for rape? Thanks :) - Lindsey
We'll actually be giving away two codes for the game on our Twitter account on the 9th. If you guys want a shot follow @Marooners_Rock and we'll follow you back because winners will be DM'd.
Thank you so much, kazlaga. I'll be sure to pass your comment along to Adam as I'm sure he'd love to read it.
I agree. I think having variety is important, especially when there are so many different kinds of gamers. To cater to one demographic would be foolish, so I think companies are realizing that if they make cheaper, more accessible games their audience will grow which in turn means more profit.
Great article. It really is a shame when a game gets cancelled, especially when it looked promising. Maybe, one day, another company will pick up the rights to the franchise and it will have its day in the sun. It took a decade for Duke Nukem Forever to finally find a home.
Yeah, I wasn't either, lol!
While I do agree with most of what you said, you have to remember way back when the PlayStation was released and then shortly after the SEGA Dreamcast hit store shelves. While the Dreamcast was a fantastic console, it was overshadowed by the PlayStation and the novelty of having a disc-based console had passed.
Because of the delay in release, Dreamcast lost out on potential sales and people were less willing to plunk down money on a console that, in their eyes, did the same...
I think Nintendo will still have the upper-hand, which is unfortunate because the NGP appears to be pretty impressive. One main thing that will sway the "battle" in Nintendo's favor is the fact that the 3DS will be coming out in a couple of months, unlike the NGP which won't be out for almost a full calendar year.
I've heard a lot about this game but have yet to play it. Seems like it could be fun.
We're currently playing through it right now and it's a long game. Took about 8+ hours to get through Chapter 1, and from what I hear Chapter 2 is long as well. Should be interesting to see how it ends.
I agree. It perfectly blends MMO and action gameplay into one game so it will appeal to a wide audience.
This looks like something that I'd check out.
Hopefully DCUO is properly embraced by MMO and action fans alike. It will be a shame if it becomes a failure because it has a lot of potential.
I agree with you about Xona Games. Decimation X3 and Score Rush were fantastic.
Nice footage!
Ultimate Warrior was epic back in the day. I'd be down to see him duke it out against Hulk.
Seeing as how there's not really any football in Backbreaker Vengeance, only a football skin over a series of timing mini-games, the opening statement does not render the review pointless at all.
Of course, reading the review would have made that clear.
