That is exactly why and pretending (again) to use Kinect 2 is pretty lame.
They also the reveal was "all about the hardware" and glanced over the specs, showed off an app for 30 mins while pretending to use Kinect 2.
Microsoft didn't talk about the console though, they barely mentioned the specs or XBL. All they did was showed TV and faked using Kinect for the OS. So it wasn't really about the hardware.
It's not the money, it's the point. It's what brought the idea of locking out games and paying to use them to life.

Being able to play your games online for free, would be great news. As far as being forced to pay to play is being concerned, this what should have happened from the beginning. Paying to play online on multiple profiles on the same console is insane. For example, PS+ allows any profile on my Playstation to play the games I've D/L'd from PS+. That is great news.

Being positive about a device that is habitually lying, would be silly. There is a point where being positive can become being gullible and idiotic. Kinect is a great example.

(Speculation) 7-10 of the xbones exclusives will be Kinect games. We'll probably see some more faked presentations at E3.
The only DRM games I would buy are games I literally only play online (like Battlefield).
All Kinect feeds go directly Steve Balmer's house, where he watches, gets drunk, laughs and caresses his Xbone.
