Actually though they use their own interface, both Wipeout HD & Motorstorm P.R. as well as Nobynoby boy use the Sony screenshot API to accomplish their in game captures, Wipeout HD was even mentioned specifically when this feature was announced not sure how the author missed this.

Was thinking the same thing, some type of disc scanning makes the most sense however with the new coatings on discs they are getting harder to scratch anyway ( at least blu-rays are ) , but I'm wondering what their value would be like I mean this isn't GS theirs NO overhead no employees etc... it costs the electricity it takes to run the machine which is sh1t so this ought to be interesting.
