They were differentiated with bicoloured glasses that most certainly do not resemble the quality of 3D now. It will be a revolution especially as all future HD tv's will have 3d capability built in.
My 80 year old mother loves new tech she has an iphone and a ds and would love 3D tv. I will buy it for myself and my kids and the most important thing to remember is if you have it...

It was fun for a few minutes with each game but then went into the cupboard 3 weeks later.
I didn't much care for jumping, wiping,kicking stuff and you could not get the precision that you need to make a game truly responsive and this looks like its repeated with natal.see the accuracy of the paint demo.
(my kids were even less enthusiastic after a couple of games.)

Is a reality but you have to be sat exactly in front of the screen while the glasses tech allows viewing off centre to cater for families so the glassless will not be a reality in homes for a long long time.

I agree and I love Blu ray.
But it is not being taken up very quickly, especially in Europe, as DVD did. I read a report that at this time in Dvd's life cycle it was at approximately 40%-60% (60 being video sales) whereas in Europe right now Blu ray is about 20%-80% dvd as over here the discs cost approximately twice as much whereas in America the take up is greater but the price differential is a lot less.
I think this may change as prices fall and ...
