For starters.. the "aging" playstation 2 has consistently outsold the 360 as well, it did so for the month of june..
Secondly, this enormous "flop!" has sold over 1 million units in all the major territories (North America, Japan, PAL); it seems that because a 60 billion dollar multinational corporation loses a million, it's a tremendous deal for the contributor, an owner of a gamertag...

the most expensive component is the blu-ray drive, followed by the cell and rsx... the internal wi-fi doesn't cost more than 20 bucks to integrate.
Microsoft made a killing on me with wi-fi.. i paid a whopping 99.99 +tax for the cheap antenna that uses up a usb port.. but that technology is actually very cheap
they have to cut costs somewheres, they cant possibly remove blu-ray or the requisite hard drive or any other thing.. the backward compatibility however ...
uhhh.. how come when we put wallpapers, or pics as backgrounds on the ps3, we lose the wave in the foreground.. even on the psp, when you use the custom background there is still that trademark XMB wave moving around in front of the picture.. i think thats minor but if you can keep it on the psp.. you might as well have the ps3 do it.. because quite frankly, i like the wave

the images rendered by the in game engine still look freakin' good.. like when he morphs into the white knight, you can clearly see the disparity between those mnoving images and the CGI goodness that follows but the real stuff is still pretty hot

I had no Idea GT5: Prologue looked so good, it's the best looking of the bunch. It seems polyphony was able to maintained that remarkable photo-realism with more than 1 cars on track...
PGR4 looks sick because of the dynamic weather (reminds me of formula 1) and those freakin' bikes!!.. wish GT had bikes, but it has formula 1 cars
