I love it that sega has made so many sonic games that they can just literally give them away.
Lord knows we haven't played that version enough.
It should unlock that Shadow game so everyone can see Sega's secret shame.
Motion gaming (IMO) is just a passing faze. Sure some great games and concepts came out of it but after the oooohs and aaaws it was all the same.
And these devs are worried about used game sales?
Conspiracy!
A ton of articles praising Uncharted 3, there's even one that's the hottest topic on n4g right now. The article celebrates the graphical power from 1 to 3.
Now one article showing minor glitches and all of a sudden there's a million "hate sony" articles.
call the X-Files...the truth is out there!
OH NO! Don't buy used games because it goes in the wrong pockets!!
So what about the Gamecube, PS2, N64 even Saturn games that I still buy. I can't find any of those games on store shelves. Guess I can't collect them since I would be buying used. Pity...
This article also points out that instead of buying used you should rent...what's the difference? You still need an online pass and Gamefly sells you the game at a USED price. Renting the...
I'm still waiting for an official TF game where i play as the G1 characters in the Earth mode likeness.
There's a lot of fps's that allow more than two guns, that's innovative? more than two guns? Didn't Doom have more than two guns you could use in a playthru?
Didn't Fallout 3 have a weapon wheel, Mass Effect 2 had a weapon wheel also, nope not innovative, next...
there is an excuse, from a business standpoint why should the dev breakdown an entire game just to add a few extra polys? I didn't know grafx made a game fun, i thought it...
Of course CoD is unfairly attacked, but it's only by a small majority who like to go online and pretend they know 5 cents worth of game development. They pretend that their opinion equals the millions online right now having a blast with the game. They all come on here and spit venom like...
"where's the innovation"
"same grafx!"
"sheep!"
"milk"
but its still #1 on ps3/360 so its d...
I can't stress enough garbage this game is.
I wonder if MS will publish Shadow Complex 2.
I hope so.
What about E-Bay or any other second hand business that profits off of second hand sales? Second hand/thrift stores/bartering has been around since the dawn of business, Gamestop saw a business opportunity and went with it. The same any other business would do. Now gamestop should be penalized for doing what any other american business would do?
Gamestop is a business that employs young/old kids and keeps the economy going. I would rather see more gamestops open than close ...
I'll say this, you will expect a lot of recycled/milked franchises when digital dl's become the norm.
Who wants to take a chance on a $60+ game that might be sh*tty (*cough x-men:destiny* cough cough*)? Not me, my money is too precious. you will big devs turning out the tried and true instead of risking new IP's.
I laugh at Jaffe saying used games hurt the industry. I would love to see his pay check and take home. I will bet its six figures ea...
Not surprising.
And for people crying "foul" because DLC is announced before the game is dropped need to think for a moment. Game production is a continuous on going work load. Updates, patches and DLC do not go into production after the game hits store shelves. Its in the process right along side actual game production.
Anyways, expect season passes for every hot multi million dollar IP from now on.
@Yi-long
Agree, agree and agree. I especially will not be picking up SF vs. TEKKEN because i fear they will be coming out with a Super/Ultimate version 4 months down the line.
@taz
It is a big business and believe it or not they are making money hands over fist. EA, Sony, Activision, MS, Nintendo are making millions. Don't get confused about this online pass being put in games trying to help the devs. All it is is more money so devs can get ...
I loved looking in the back of Gamepro, EGM or Nintendo Power for cheat codes and passwords.
Something this gen has lost and paid DLC has taken its place.
Batman hands down for me. AA was such a fun game with an amazing fight system it really made you feel like Batman.
Can't wait to get my hands on AC, and kick Hugo Strange's a$$.
U3 is definitely on the list, but with BF3, skyrim not to mention Dark Souls, Disgaea 4, Deus EX....UUUGH.
Too much
Which FF for SNES had the opera scene?
I remember when i first saw that and was totally blown away by it.
I don't know what CoD has to do with game sales.
I think what it has to do with is the world economy. People don't have the available funds that they had a year ago. At least in NA the unemployment is at a record high.
You won't see overall outstanding sales until this economy gets better.
Here's one article, i'm sure i could find more but you get the picture...
