I'll make two points here:
1: "Sony believes in the PlayStation Vita (despite some less-than-impressive sales numbers), so much in fact, that they are finding ways to pair the handheld to their existing console."
Actually, this proves Sony dont believe in the Vita. Why make it a controller, an accesory from another console, instead of giving it good exclusive games and experiences, or at least a decent place in the conference? Poor Vita will never get ou...
Well, I count the FPS as much as I count the pixels in my screen while playing. If the game is fun and inmersive, it wont really matter.
Those systems probably can do 60 fps normally ...in one screen, processing one game at a time. This is nothing new. We need a powerful PC to play on three screens, one game, one input. The WiiU will process and stream three differents screens (the TV and two controllers), process the input from the normal controller, from the touch screen, and four WiiMotes.
It's a hard task, you know.
"If it doesn't make you sweat we're not doing our jobs right."
Just Dance makes sweat a lot of people.
Why does this kind of crap and boring articles get approved?
Do you realize the WiiU need to render the game for two screens? And receive the input for both? And receive the input from four Wiimotes? We need -on PC- a really great GPU tu see games in three screens, and that's seeing a single game, and processing just one input. The task become even harder with two screens in the WiiU. So dont go away believing that 3Gb of ram were being used to render pixels on screen, there's a lot of things happening and you cant see'em.
They're not British. They're just pixels.
Only graphics are next gen?
What a low bar to hit. just buy a super duper PC.
I wanna hear more about the wiiU... but not from this guy anymore.
Good! I always wondered how the characters from RE could receive various bites and keep being human.
You are a proud member from the "hardcore" community.
end sarcasm.
Yes, calm down. We're taking about WiiU here, go talk sony in the sony themes. Please.
Makes sense. It was a hard task from the start. I mean, we need a powerful card to process three monitor in PC. And that just for see one game at a time, withou any other input in order to be processed. Two controller means one single machine rendering three different images, and processing three (and more, counting the Wiimotes) inputs.
This is nothing new, we had RE4 un gamecube, RE4 extended with more guns in PS2, and RE4 with motion control on Wii. And Viewtiful Joe with Dante in the PS2.
And with this... Kudos to Ubisoft! Saved the E3 for an hour.
And with this, the E3 was a waste of time. Again.
In the same place where FF Vs. XIII is.
The limbo.
I'm throwing my money at the screen, but nothing happens.
It was great for two games (Beyond and The Last Lof Us) but right now I'm feeling Sorry for the poor Vita. Sony lost the best way to sell it this year. I wont say it's a bad console, I wont say Sony's franchises are bad either. The problem is, the Vita isnt a console by it's own merits. It's the PS3's little brother. The Vita needs games made for Vita only, not, let's say "ports" (I know they're not direct ports, just dont know how to say it). Games l...
This and:
- No decent place in the E3
- No exclusive IP's for Vita, just PS3 game's small versions.
- They'll start selling it like an accesory for the PS3 with Little Big Planet.
I kinda like the vita, is a great console... it's not doomed, but Sony will make it happen if they dont get it out from the PS3's shadow.
