I'm in the same boat right now. Though, I'm in/out of Warthunder, currently in. I've been playing every night for the past few nights. Really great game. Once Planetside 2 hits things will get even better.
Unfortunately, the reviews surrounding Infamous largely confirm my suspicions, so I'm going to pass on it.
BF, Titanfall, PVZ
Make that three :) Not ashamed to say that EA games are occupying the lions share of my time, and Popcap in particular is cranking out good ones. Been playing Peggle 2, as well.
I'm going to sit back and watch the IGN comment section eat itself. Everybody likes a good bloodbath! :)
I'm not suggesting it's a dig at any other consoles. I'm just pointing out how "1080p 60fps" is all that the reported felt he needed to put in the article, without any supporting information. I just think it illustrates the issue perfectly. I checked out the article expecting to see at least a little bit of background info.
Most people who don't already know about the game, myself included, probably wont dig any further. So the opportunity to push a ...
my thoughts exactly. I think it illustrates perfectly what's wrong with the gaming community when we get an article related to a game nobody has heard of, and all they feel the need to tell us is:
"it runs at 1080p, 60fps"
Ok... Is it fun?
lol. My lord. Seems like a perfectly reasonable statement, and look at those disagrees stack up. Probably because you said Halo 4 doesn't suck. Try pandering to the lowest common denominator next time if you want to make it far in this.... umm.... community?
"Xbox Done"
Do I win a prize?
3DO? Well, now I wanna play Battle Tanx.
no
The only reason I can think of is if you dont like FPS games, or if you went into it under the impression that it would be a life-changing experience.
Once you realize that Titanfall is just another shooter, it's impossible to be disappointed. Because this game is something special.
Looks like my comment scared a lot of people, lol. Dont worry, kiddies, Rare wont hurt your beloved Playstation. Though, it might help MS, and I know you all live in perpetual fear of Xbox's success. =D
It's an evil plot by MS to screw everyone over. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Seriously, what's up with you guys?
They have a host of beloved IPs. All they need is talent. Which, given MS' pocketbook, is never in short supply. Would be cool to see some of their big franchises make a comeback. I'm sure we will see it happen more than once over the course of this generation.
I'm nearly at level 50 and having as much if not more fun than when I got the game. Face it, Titanfall s awesome.
People always seem to forget Class 4 from Undead Labs, which is near the top of my most anticipated unannounced titles.
Definitely a cool concept. Would be a lot of fun with friends.
Other ones I really liked: Hyper Light Drifter, Calibre 10, Habitat 4gency, Strike Suit Zero, and The Last Tinker. Gunscape looks like a neat take on Minecraft, although I've played so much Minecraft that just looking at those low-res blocks dulls my brain.
So far, more impressed than I thought I would be by ID@X1
Minecraft. Nuff said.
Really liking the volume balancer between snapped/main apps. Now if only we could listen to music in the background...
It's wise not to attribute things like this to the parent company. We are fans of an industry where people move around like a wacky game of musical chairs.
As long as it's ready, I'll take it! MS would be smart to get a Halo game out before Christmas to generate sales.
Between Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Halo 5, Destiny, possibly The Division, Evolve, Dragons Age, and what I can only assume will be a litany of other high-profile titles coming out in the fall/holiday season, we gamers will be a broke lot. Also, thoroughly entertained.
Going to be waiting for PS+ or bargain bin for this one. Kind of what I expected, and reviews seem to agree. Same old game with a glossy new coat. Already fell for that with KZ.
