UO still has a large following, I think they will be very upset if a new game based on the series came out and people in the west didn't get to see it.
More hype for Aion, I hope the game lives up to it.
Bring on the 'WoW Killer' comments ;)
But seriously, could this really be a contender for the WoW crown? It already has 3.5 million subs in Asia apparently.
Yeah AoC's character creation is pretty damn good too, but the chars aren't as... 'pretty' :P
I managed to get the game pre-ordered, so I'll be testing it soon! I'm wondering if this will be the MMO to change future MMOs, or just another WoW alternative.
Well at the rate of one expansion per two years, will anyone still be playing it by the time the last one comes out?!
haha, very good =P
Brilliant news, though I'm interested to see what they'll do with the travel form. It's not that often people use it, and it's not that bad.
Having said that, any update is good!
Gimme gimme!
I reckon they've done a good job of changing opinion, I don't think of a fail MMO when I see AoC now :P
I really can't see Blizzard making WoW free to play until it's almost dead. They make so much money from it, why change a good thing?
About time! Hang on... what?
I can't see why anyone would want to transfer with that penalty.
10 man raids, heirloom gear, mounts at level 20 and flying at level 60 (soon) - no, the game is for new players these days.
It could limp on for years with 100k subs, that's still a nice chuck of money coming in. Trouble is, for such a young game I doubt people would stick around long without new content and continued development, which 100k players probably wouldn't support.
I wonder if they still have the reported 300,000 subscribers.
There's a popular theory that there will be two new races. I'm fairly sure there won't be.. but I hope I'm wrong!
First person fighting? Ouch. Interesting though.
The game just isn't performing as well as they expected, obviously. This merger with BioWare isn't good news either IMO, TOR will trample all over WAR, so devs will be pulled off WAR and put to work on the 'star' game.
Lol, I'd pay a lot of money to see that.
