if there's one thing that commenters on this site have the authority to talk about is what core gamers want and here's two simple facts:
-core gamers will come around when you give them core games (and good ones that can't be played elsewhere)
-what makes a game core or casual is how it plays, not how it looks or what is it about (they can put all the gore, guts and F-bombs in the world in Rise of Nightmares and it will still be casual)

this is nice and all but it reminds me of some sad 360 faboy a few years ago getting all excited writing in this site that Fable 2 had "real trees"

Xbox has been number three worldwide for the last 4 years
Kinect shovelware is not going to change that
there was nothing wrong with the demo, it was perfectly acceptable casual game on rails, the target audience should like it as it is
mark my words: it will be aimed at casuals, it will be cheap and will have WiiU like specs
and this time (unlike in 2006) it will be true that the next generation will start with the PS4 in 2015
the problem with the Fable guy is not really his fault, MS likes to present him like some kind of visionary and its main creative force
but the guy is just a middleweight at best (with lots of resources) it's not his fault that be believed all the false accolades he received from MS over the years (this is a guy who only realises that he failed to make a Kinect core game after people tell him so, and not during developement, and that's because he's surrounded by...

there was never any hype among core gamers, because hype is generated by games and not hardware itself
no one likes the Kinect games, no even casual gamers
they just bought because of the novelty, not because of the fun the can have with it like people did with the Wii years ago where you could get your grandma in front of the TV to play
mine is X and I want an HD collection with it plus X-2 and XII
