How much have you spent with this retailer to get your preorder for that price ? If you buy it off the shelf it will cost £44.95, so to save £20 you must have been fleeced a few times in the past from them.
Shopto.net is the way forward and WILL save you money...
One of the collection of shops that totally rips gamers off.. All i can say is that I will not miss this shop even if it closes every one of its outlets.
A prime example- new game @ £37 in every other retailer Game will charge £44 and then have the cheek to charge £39 for a preowned copy.
Goodbye and good riddance
This looks exactly the same as MG online.. I dont know why anyone would play this when you can play at home for free and with more players..
""There's audio files here for something called "Defcon" (Audio says "Defcon Team Deathmatch" for example), a new gametype called "Arms Race", and Team Deathmatch Pro, Free For All Pro, Search and Destroy Pro and Sabotage Pro. There's also voices for Team Tactical, and no, it's not 3rd person either.
I also found the weapons folder and found the G3, G36, R700, M40, M240, SA80, AW50, a power drill, MP5, MP9, and the MP44.""
I was slightly disappointed with the beta of this game as the controls suck. The game itself is fluid and smooth with some great ideas but in now way worth the £40 price tag. If they stuck it on psn for £20 fair enough, but i just cant see it selling very well.
This is all they can do to compete with the competition. They have very few exclusive's and very few worthy titles coming out this year that are not multiplat's. The only thing actually going for them is the cost of the console as its in the pocket money price bracket..
Yup it is truly one of the best multiplayer experiences out there at the moment. Yes I know every fps has campers sitting in their tent with a stove & sleeping bag etc picking off the stragglers, but the maps are so big youll probably never get killed by the same camper twice (unless your silly enough to retrace your previous steps).
The team play need to be tightened a little as people just wonder off into the unknown willy nilly, but otherwise its fantastic.
Whoever like ...
They could have released a new map every week or two from launch and made a killing from it. A new map for £1.50 - £2.00 and they would have sold bucket loads.. I still play this game from time to time, but the maps available were starting to bore me so not so often now.
Otherwise this is great news to get the game back up and running in our systems again.
These silly glasses type things only work for people who have good equal sight in both eyes and dont wear glasses for watching tv. I have a more dominant right eye since birth and whats classed as a "lazy" left eye, dont get the wrong idea though I have good sight and can see a car reg plate 100yds or so. But Ive never been able to actually see and sort of 3d image through 3d glasses ever. Jaws3d nope- assorted other 3d movies- nope, channel 4 3d season - nope instant headache etc...
They should add real stores in there like Argos, Woolworths, Amazon etc and places like Pizza Hut where you could go in browse what they had on offer and actually order it at a slightly discounted cost. Imagine walking through the shopping center and seeing Pizza Hut,, you would want one. If they linked it up somehow with pizzahut.com or similar and paid with your stored credit details and then have the pizza delivered to your door within 20 mins.
Now that will be the turning point a...
Because you can order from an online supplier and get it days before the release date. So why would you want to stand in a queue full of immature people when you could be at home playing already..
And everyone has got super high speed internet to stream hi def movies on the fly ? Wake up Britain is behind the times as per usual as well as many other countries. It seems that 3rd world countries have the fastest BBand around How strange...
Sony's price is pretty good at the minute with some great deals on hardware.
If Bobby Koticks wants a higher attach rate then maybe he should lower Activisions Pricing structure, that way if people can buy MW2 for £29.99 on day of release then who knows how many they'd sell.
As it's been said many times before it's the games that sell the systems...If the games were at "better" prices people would buy more of them as its still risky buying a new game for £...
With this game being designed for multi plat you have to realise that it HAS to run on the gimped x360 core with no HDD. It really dont matter if the 360 and Pc are similar in architecture as ALL pc's have HDD's so there for they can only make an engine as good as the weakest hardware. This is a bit let down in this day and age, as they should have made for the PS3 and PC first the dumbed it down for the 360.
More efficient, thinner & no need for a power hungry backlight.
Iv noticed by some of the comments posted that a lot of you are missing the important details... If you read it through you will find that you are only RENTING the game for ONE month. The game will be playable for the allotted time only and then rendered unusable unless you Re-Rent it for the following month. The details also say for your £6 or $10 you will be able to RENT up to 5 or 6 games per month.
This could be a good move from Sony as it would open up all kinds of conten...
It seems like Intel are having a few problems lately.. Shame
I wonder who they think they are ? Micro$oft ??
It's not the simulation that lets them down because GT is nearly perfect and single player is amazing, but its the online and the "other players" who dont treat it like a simulation. They just ram you off the track and you get a penalty for it while there off down the track.
Hopefully Shift has the online sorted and it is fair for real players while imature drivers get penaltys or kicked.
I have noticed with all 3rd party controllers is what they can't do is - you cant press the left analogue (L3) while the stick is in fully forward position. Only official Sony pads are able to do this correctly so therefor all others just dont even compare with official products.
Great News.. Got too many other GREAT games to buy and lots more to complete. I would rather spend my hard earned cash on real PS3 games than crappy xbox ports and games that I cant get on PS3 I always have the option to get them on PC.
