With the launch of Windows 7 however there is no real reason to stick to Vista.
and Vista still isn't that great, after many updates. To be blunt, Windows itself is okay for the normal user but in the eyes of many advanced users Windows isn't that great to begin with but then again, there's no real competitors except for Linux which Microsoft shoots down every single chance.
Yeah, this is pretty accurate, it won't capture the core XP users but it should initiate a switch for Vista users, which should be mandatory lol.

The architecture of the ATi card within the Xbox 360 has a bug and makes things overly contrasted and vibrant, some people prefer it.

I think it was roughly the same, the only real difference is the contrast in the pictures due to the Xbox 360's graphical bug.
It doesn't negate anything you're right but I find it kind of obvious that you're going to see an increase of performance than if it were just a single vanilla gpu without the added affect of being a cGPU.
I'm still very weary about the price Nvidia has a very set range of customers that it attracts and usually those are recurring customers that don't mind high prices for an equal trade of raw power.

Is it better than Vista? Yes, most definitely. Are there any real incentives to upgrade past XP? No, unless you game or you are in the media arts you don't need W7. They could optimize and optimize for however many threads and cores that they'd like (W7 can only actually use a few threads anyway) but it doesn't matter it's up to the software developers to optimize everything on their end.

Basically Microsofts problem. Why upgrade if XP suits 98.99% of the people? There needs to be more incentives and I'm not really seeing them. Even though I am running W7x64RTM right now just for the benefit of increased performance (I have over 5gigs of ram). Still, if I don't need to play games I usually dualboot onto Ubuntu just for the sake of not having to deal with Windows day-to-day.

People should actually read the article instead of saying "but it feels faster". If you're using a low end computer your not going to get much of a performance increase probably entirely negligible.
