It makes perfect sense. People who buy a brand new console are more likely core gamers that are willing to spend money on brand new releases. People still gaming on old consoles are likely the type to wait for sales.

That's a TV problem not a console problem. Try a different HDMI port and make sure you're using the cable it came with. You can also adjust the transfer speed in the PS5 menu if your TV can't handle higher transfer rates.

There are plenty of next gen only games that look like crap and plenty of cross gen and even last gen games that look better. Graphics are about talent and budget more than the specs you're targeting these days.
