Acquiring top Selling AAA titles is a good business move but it doesn't bring innovation. Show me new interesting games rather than just cookie cutter sequels if you want my money.
They paid 30% over the current stock price to buy activation. They don't care about losing or making money as long as they crush the competition.
After this Activision purchase Sony need to reevaluate putting their games on PC at all. They need every point of differentiation they can get.
Buying two mega-publishers is already out of hand.
I think we can infer from their previous mega-publisher purchase that they will make any new games exclusive. If people really think all of this consolidation under one platform holder is a good thing for the industry I think they aren't looking at the big picture. I've seen this coming for a while now and I have to say I'm disappointed
Multiple silent protagonists... That would be the most useless feature ever.
Day one? Try year 5! 🤣
They are way ahead of you

You're right. Price will go up but not before they knock one of the other big 3 out of the competition.
Very astute observation. They are trying to cut PSNow off at the knees. They see the future as console-less streaming and want to be the only streaming game in town no matter what it takes.
Aren't all of these Vgzhartz guesses supposed to be labeled rumors and not news?
Yeah I remember that. This is the same lip service. Once the deal is finalized Phil will announce exclusivity for all new games going forward.
Let's hope Bobby is a changed man. 🙏
I'm aware that it might cause gamepass to be more expensive and it limits consumer choice for which platforms to play those games on but if Microsoft's goal is to get more people paying for gamepass making Call of Duty exclusive is a good way to do it.
Strange given
Phil Spencer has now told staff he was “disturbed and deeply troubled by the horrific events and actions” at Activision Blizzard and that Microsoft is “evaluating all aspects of our relationship with Activision Blizzard and making ongoing proactive adjustments” as a result.
That's a lot of games to give away on Gamepass. 👍
I don't get this take. In Days Gone one of the primary NPCs is a lesbian and her relationship features prominently in the game.
Alfheim would be a better place to try to show off ray tracing.
With a moment (or decade) of silence.
If Microsoft has their way and every game is streamed from their cloud servers DF isn't going to have much to evaluate.
