I think they are actually over-complicating the game in MKX.
I've been in a few betas or alphas and I always feel like the devs never listen to your input and just look at their data. Sometimes its because the beta was never meant to change the game since it was already a completed project, they just want to stress test. But they almost never tell you that.

This is a little misleading since no matter the case, you'll need a DX12 graphics card to play a game running DX12. Otherwise you'll be forces to run DX11 and under, which is always the case when you begin a transitional period.
