We console gamers like the consoles because unlike pc we don't need yearly updates to play game just every 6yrs or so. The thing I think we missed is when they made the consoles x86-based they made them automatically backward compatible with the next round of consoles and that is the same as a pc. Sony and MS made their consoles pc's right under our nose BTW pc's are also x86-based.

@ArchangelMike I can see your point it is a valid one. I can't jump into something that cost that much without caution. There are three versions of this technology coming to consumers, four is you count gear vr. I will not plunk down $400 to $800 to find my choice is not as popular with other consumers therefore it loses developer support and fizzles along with the money from my investment. My name is Magnes and I was an early adopter and long time supporter of the Dreamcast. I think you k...

@Moegooner88 Yep I remember that it was Jeff Gershman that stood his ground while standing on his morals. Jeff handed out an honest review because he respected gamers that read his reviews he didn't try to prey on the unsuspecting. The problem with GameSpot,MS and Ign is they take advantage of unsuspecting people that don't realize the underhanded practices of the gaming media. A true success story really Jeff went on to co-found GiantBomb.

I think that PSVR is a serious contender in the VR market I'm thinking it's going to be the biggest seller of the three main VR's. I think the other two are going to do well though with Oculus selling more than Vive. I am going to hold out to see which gets the most support then decide. As it stands though I really like the Vive from what I've seen.

Same thing they did with tomb raider turning the whole site into one big T.R. advertisement and Naomi dressing up as Laura Croft cosplay style then we are supposed to trust Thier review of the game. The review score ign gave T.R. did hold up with the other reviews of T.R.. A bad way to do buisness (unethical) imo like taking a review of Assassins Creed from the U-play site.

I can both agree and disagree with your comment graphics do not make a whole game. Some of my favorite games this gen are not cutting edge graphically but if MS and sony are going take ask gamers to pony up cash for upgraded console they need to deliver an upgrade experience not just 720p. I loved my 360/ps3 so far my ps4/xb1 are not giving me any experiences I feel are better than my 360/ps3 where already doing.

@a_adji doesn't seem likely

It has been a conversation, but I can say we're not so close," Nate Mitchell, the vice president of product at Oculus, told Polygon.

What we were finding is that it's hard enough to deliver a great experience reliably on Windows, never mind adding OS X and Linux to that, which are different beasts entirely," Mitchell explained.

"Because of that, we've been laser focused on getting Wi...

Yep like when they got hit over their Web browser.

Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson issued his findings of fact on November 5, 1999, which stated that Microsoft's dominance of the x86-based personal computer operating systems market constituted a monopoly, and that Microsoft had taken actions to crush threats to that monopoly, including Apple, Java, Netscape, Lotus Notes, RealNetworks, Linux, and others.[15] Judgment was split in two parts. On April 3, 2000, he issued his concl...

@rookie I remember an instance where a camera bundled with a certain electronic device caused many consumers to get very angry even though its needed some already have. Another example Destiny Taken King bundle that caused consumers again to be angry. There is nothing wrong with choice if you need the camera buy it, they will be available, don't need it you wont have to get a second you don't need.

Sales tax in my state here in the US is 6% so not sure what you mean by similar. PS4 with tax $424, PS camera with tax $63.60 so if you need both that's $487.60 that does not seem similar to me.

Xb1 version does look pretty much the same as Ps4 version I'd say Ubi did the old parity thing /shrug

@blackout That was the don't lecture me about checking peoples comment history card. I know how to do it I just don't care to. Now I'm taking my own advice commenting and moving on.

@blackout my account is older than yours I've been around long enough to know what people do, they still get their say just like we do. You don't get to dismiss peoples comments because you don't like them. If people have come to love/hate Ms or sony they have their reasons.

These online sandbox games are getting more and more like this. You get a box of sand a plastic bucket and shovel "keep filling up the bucket kids!!"

@n4rc K... I'll bite back the owning of first party studios shows me the gamer this company is serious about games which then prods me to plunk down $400-$500 of my hard earned money.

It's not dying just evolving. If tomorrow sony and ms gave you access to a steam like library of games that all played on your box would you like that? I'm guessing you would. What if every 5 years you had an opportunity to upgrade your console without losing your catalog of games. You choose not to upgrade ok no problem you can still play new games they just stay at your current resolution. I see nothing wrong with that you will get more out of your console you can upgrade when your ...

I think they are preparing for a future where games come to them (steam) and develope the in house games they want Halo=Half life, Forza=portal. Digital distribution on PC and Xbox boxes built buy companies other than Microsoft just like steam machine. The business model is sound you can't blame Microsoft, all they do is copy and paste Valve and Viola!!
The one thing they have on valve is an already established juggernaut of an OS wich is the biggest part soooo.... If I'm MS ...

Lionhead never had any problem cranking up the games before so all of a sudden a solid dependable developer just forgets how to make deadlines, that what you want me to believe?
