GDDR5 is future, DDR3 is soon to be obsolete, you can already preorder or even buy DDR4.
I played Dead space 3 on rock solid 30fps and bioshock infinite on rock solid 60fps. Both run fluidly and had no issues.
it depends on the TV/monitor. For example 120hz or higher monitor would demand more frames to look decently fluid.
M$ main mistake is releasing XBONE!

PS1 - CD (I know that sega had cd console before sony, but it was more of failure)
PS2 - DVD
PS3 - BLU-RAY
PS4 - Digital (I know PS3 also has digital, but it wasnt available from the start)
Sony doesnt own Blu-Ray entirely, theres listing of companies who have rights on it. And if MS is paying royalties then everything is legal.
Im not defending MS, just stating general truth.
MS cant manufacture that many in so short timeframe even if they want.
