"Sony is doing nothing different this gen in regards to first-party games than they have any previous PlayStation console's first 2-3 years. Accept that because it's an undeniable fact."
Dude, GTFO. The PS1, PS2, and PS3 had far better first 2 years than the PS4. Guess which consoles had Uncharted, Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Ico, Dark Cloud, FFX, FFVII, Crash Bandicoot, and a whole bunch of amazing games within theie first two year...
@Digital
The huge difference here is that MS' exclusive will end up on PS4, but the same can't be said for SFV.
And Capcom being broke, they need all the sales they can get for their biggest franchises. There are plenty of SF fans on Xbox, so the business would be appreciated.
@Spotie/Hicken
Still the PS4 library is sparse compared to what was originally planned. With the biggest games originally planned for this year being delayed til' next year, Persona 5 being the recent blow, the finalized lineup is underwhelming and disappointing.
I love it how you bring up Microsoft, but the truth is this discussion is entirely about Sony. Since MS is now a part of this, I will say Sony have botched their promises, while MS was upfront ab...
My PS+ expired awhile ago. Doesn't look like I will be renewing it this month.
How is BC bad for the industry, especially in the digital age, when you can still buy older games that you missed out on your newer console? Isn't that more business? This article is dumb.
If you love BC yourself, you would be all for it instead of downplaying it. It's easy to see past your BS, Hicken. If Sony was doing this you would be playing jumping jacks in your living room all day.
"why the hell don't they have the systems to play them?"
Maybe they don't want a bunch of systems hooked up to one TV. Over the generations you'll have 5-10 consoles laying around in your entertainment system if it wasn't for BC. I...
I love this device. The biggest issue is the compatibility, and the memory cards. Playing some of my Vita games on the TV with the DS4 is a wonderful idea. And I am not even using this for remote play or streaming, my PS4 is hooked up to the same TV. I paid around this price for mine and been over all happy with it. If I paid $99 for this device then I would feel ripped off.
Unfortunately, even Sony botched this device along with the Vita, which is a real shame. A $99 console...
I bought this game a few days ago. I really got to try this level out!
You can always play this on the Vita with remote play anyway. No big loss...
Dude this is awesome. I am really loving MS' support for Xbox One and its fans. Can't wait to have 12-person party chats!
Actually Nintendo had a history of competitive hardware. Don't see how they can't pull that off again with the NX.
"If you know how business works, you should also know that asking here isn't how it's going to happen."
But here we are, on a forum of some sort. People are going to complain if they have something to complain about. That is inevitable. Figure you would know that...
Sorry, but I do find this update disappointing. Cloud saves are great, but that's for PS+. PNG images should've been on the PS4 much earlier, but at least it's here now. Too bad all the screenshots we've captured up to this point missed out.
Where's external HDD support? Where are the folders? Where are the friend notifications we've been wanting since day 1? Name changes? We've been asking that long before the PS4 was even announced. The list goes...
Increased cloud saves is awesome. Good on Sony for that, but where are some of the key features the PS3 had that the PS4 still doesn't after about 2 years since the console launched? Still no friend notifications? That's inexcusable, especially for a console that places huge focus on social gaming. People need to hold Sony to higher expectations than this.
Scalebound is developed by Platinum games. As good as most of the games are, they don't sell a massive amount of copies, even by Japan's standards. This game definitely won't help the Xbox One in Japan.
Everything you said here is right on the money. Xbox One needs the likes of Persona, Tales of, FF, DQ, Monster Hunter, etc.
"Or it's the Xbox players who are pissed lol"
Sounds more like damage controlling to me. PS4 seriously needs those features more than what's shown here...
All those features are more important than what's shown here. They should have been on the PS4 long ago for the players. The PS3 has those features, minus external HDD support.
This bundle offers an insane amount of content. If you dig those kind of games, you'll be busy with the Xbox One for a long time without buying a game!
"With the Attitude of west centric gamers like your self , is it any wonder they are pushing the PSVita just in Asian markets?"
Enough with the damage control already. There are very few games for the Vita that appeal to a much wider audience outside of Japan. How can you expect the masses to buy Vitas in droves without the games that appeal to them? It's Sony's fault they couldn't successfully penetrate the western market. Sony dropped the ball with the...
Can't wait to kiss the current UI goodbye. This is looking to be the very best UI I've ever seen on console!
