For good reason. The PS4 is the best place to play with the most pixels and blades of grass in third party games, the most third party marketing deals featuring exclusive and timed exclusive DLC, a massive variety of PC and mobile indies making their way onto the PS4, an exclusive kickstarter project featured at E3 aka Shenmue III, and mind-blowing amazing graphics like The Order 1886 and Driveclub. Sony has played their cards right this generation!
Launching more than one big game around the same time only works for the PS4. Microsoft shouldn't have launched Tomb Raider on the same time with Fallout 4 because Microsoft doesn't have the ability to sell massive amount of copies for more than one big release at a time on their console. Sony has all the freedom in the world to do whatever they want with their products and still be successful. That's the amazing power of the undying flexible love that Sony gets from their devoted...
Greatness Awaits™! The PS4 has so much variety of games coming out just from the indie developers and third party alone. They will keep us PS4 owners busy until Uncharted 4 finally comes out. 2016 looks like an amazing year to be a devoted Sony fan. :D
I just got my copy for the PS3. Going to play it tonight!
Sony shouldn't offer their fans anything for free. They are getting away with squeezing as much cash out of their fans as they can for everything, and the vocal masses are bending over backwards defending Sony no matter what. It would be dumb for Sony to pull a Microsoft by offering their fans anything free for their loyalty. Sony's shills would lose their job.
Another amazing exclusive for the PS4.
You and me bro! Played the s*** out of that game when I got my Dreamcast for Christmas with NFL 2K, Sonic Adventure, and Toy Commander. Still have my system and the games.
I would cry tears of joy for a Dreamcast 2.
@Griever
All you just said in your tirade that it's awesome with Sony but evil with Microsoft. You're talking double standards, no mater how you slice it.
Sales aren't that bad actually. According to VGChartz the game sold .59 on the Xbox One within one month. Tomb Raider 2013 Definitive Edition sold only .47 after almost two years, while the Xbox 360 version of the 2013 game moved more than .8 within 4 weeks, which came from a much larger install base than the Xbox One's.
Also, as some others above said, we are talking about retail copies sold only. I know, VGChartz is not a reliable source, but I see well known fanboy...
"This is for the gamer that has never played these classic games. I know some of you fail to realize that not everyone is in the same age demographic and had the chance to play these games."
"The ps4 just changed to x86 and the ps2 ran on the emotion engine. You fail to realize it's not a simple port. But whatever whine on."
ROFLMFAO...the funny thing is, none of your points can apply to Xbox One's emulation for Xbox 360 games. Mic...
"Lol does this confirm you dont have a ps4?"
Isn't it amazing that the very first thing fanboys do is to pull the "you don't have a PS4" card right out of their ass, just because someone wants to play a game on the PC? Looks like your imaginary phony sensor could use for an upgrade. :0
Definitely looking forward to these games. I really dig Falcom's games, and the Vita could really use some more games that aren't ridiculously eccentric.
Bloodborne 92
God of War III Remastered 81
Tearaway Unfolded 81
MLB 15 The Show 80
Until Dawn 79
Beyond Two Souls Remastered 74
The Order 1886 63
Godzilla 38
I would love to play the SOCOM series, Ghost Recon Jungle Storm, Ghost Recon 2, Rainbow Six 3, the Siphon Filter games released on PS2, and TimeSplitters 2.
Looking forward to playing the PC version with the Xbox One Elite controller and glorious 4K!
Good to know that more 3rd party characters are getting added to the SSB roster.
"You said UC4 multiplayer was a let down because of Microtransactions but like I said halo 5 and forza 6 has them as well."
"Lol if MS has made you happy, great more power to you. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH SONY."
What does Microsoft's microtransactions have to do with Sony? Why should I complain about Microsoft's microtransactions in a conversation only about Sony? I don't play Halo 5 and Forza 6 online, and I am currently...
"Lol if MS has made you happy, great more power to you. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH SONY."
Except I've never mentioned anything about my opinions of Microsoft in my first comment. It was you that had to pull the "comment history" card on me, and most of your reply has more to do with Microsoft, and far more than my two comments combined.
"Ever heard of keeping opinions to yourself?"
Nobody's forcing me...
@Generaloddball
You're right. I am a MS fan this generation coming from being a huge Sony fan for the past three generations. MS has been giving me what I wanted Sony to give me this generation, so it make sense to take my money there.
I have been watching the downfall of Sony since the end of the PS3 generation. Uncharted 3 wasn't at all as good as Uncharted 2. SOCOM is long gone. The first two Motorstorm games were great, but the third wasn't, a...
It's a shame the Uncharted Collection sold less than a Wii U exclusive in the October NPD. Sony is trying to fix that and this new boxart looks very effective from a marketing standpoint. I hope the Uncharted Collection will get the sales that it deserves!
