Less of an issue back then for sure, I used to get a subscription for Playstation The Official Magazine back in the day and the score was what it was, there was no arguing, no trolling, no fanboying, no petitions, like you said maybe the occasional fan letter but that was few and far between, the growth of the internet and the anonymity it provides along with sites like Metacritic and N4G linking any clickbait articles they can find have turned review scores into a warzone.

I noticed sometimes he couldn't quite grip a ledge with all four fingers and one hand would only get three out of the four on, its a subtle thing that happens ever so often but its a neat thing to see.
