The original Mortal Kombat movie is the best Video game movie, period.
It had amazing fight choreography, costumes, cast and quite possibly the most badass theme in movie history...
Only thing that might of held it back was it's rating.
It wasn't trying to be an Oscar winning movie, so I don't get when people say it was bad. It was true to the source material and it was and still is a very entertaining movie for fans of MK ...
This game had potential, remember the hype train I was on before it released. Like others already mentioned consoles would have kept this alive mainly the Xbox crowd, we all know how much they like shooters and zombies...
Games like PUBG are killing these games though since people are moving towards games with cheap thrills, and quick loot... And maybe something not to time consuming.
You can play Dayz/H1Z1 for hours and get amazing loot only to get kille...

Agreed, it felt more realistic and grounded and wasn't to over the top, especially in terms of the story, the ending showed how vulnerable you are when you're in the Mafia. So you're not a Terminator like in 3.
Mafia 3 felt like a Tarantino movie in comparison.
