I think backwards Compatibility is the right way to go, The Problem with PS NOW was that the cost was too high, It would be cheaper and better to own the 2 previous consoles and buying the game discs.

That is exactly the way I like to game, I usually sit on the floor with a small ottoman to lean my arms on.

We'll see, If you know Microsoft's M.O. Embrace, Extend and Extinguish, than you should be able to see what MS tried to do with the release of the XB1 and how it failed miserably, I wouldn't be surprised if MS created this whole Xbox live on Win10 to eventually push everyone out of the market with slight changes in the Win10 code base to work flawlessly with Xbox Live and very poorly with third party gaming services. That is the kind of shenanigans MS has been pulling for over 3...
