Propaganda and agendas can only go so far, at the end of the day, Game developers have to cater to what it's audience wants and will buy. Special interest groups and people like Anita "easy money" Sarkeesian can only influence the development of games so far as it doesn't negatively effect profits. Then all this diversity for the sake of diversity is thrown out the door.

I preordered it on Amazon while at the same time my Nephew preordered it for me at gamestop (without my knowledge), He canceled the Preorder and asked if they wanted the Beta code back from the recipt, they told him he could have it, I gave that code to a friend and he liked it so much that it actually made him preorder a copy for himself.

If Sony and MS went with a hybrid system like the switch for the next generation I would go back to PC gaming. Portable gaming is a 12 year olds pass time. and the switch just happened to be one out of a bunch of failed Nintendo ideas that just happened to stick. They are merging their user bases from console/portable seeing that the gameboy user base is so large it is pushing up the numbers of the switch. if it wasn't for that, the switch would just be another mediocre Nintendo console ...

I think that in the position that they are in, it is the right play, Sony doesn't need to share anything with a competitor and I think that all the vitriol that Xbox gamers generally have for the PlayStation and it's users (eg: ponys, Sony defense force, ect.) Cross play would be an unbearable troll fest.
