when it comes to purchasing software and media products. digital downloads are consumer UNFRIENDLY and a scam. As a rental medium is has it's place but, there is just too many restrictions on DD. for example, you cannot copy it off your PS3 or 360 HD, which, essentially removes your ability to lend it to someone or sell it. on top of that your hard drive is now cluttered with media that if you delete it you essentially threw your money away. Doom gave it network multiplayer, Duke nukem 3d revolutionized it. Quake made it look good. everything after that is just refinement of the genre.

but, they are equally as good as each other in execution. I prefer BC only because it reminds me of those '70's buddy war movies like Kelly's hero's and more recently Three Kings. COD4 on the other hand is really just a very well made war FPS. what can I say? I'm a movie guy.
I think that it would be commercial suicide to have a prominent or main gay character in a game if you expect to make any good money. essentially, you have alienated the major portion of your consumer base. heterosexual males ages 10 to 19 that will not be interested and not identify with a gay main character. It makes bad business sense. If you want to make a controversial, "artsy" game that will get allot of press and low sales, a main character that is gay would be the way to go ...

I don't understand why people think that the Wii controller scheme is somehow better than a standard controller? I own the Wii and I think its controller sucks. It is imprecise and annoying. Sure, it is good for games like "bowling" and "tennis" but, as a controller for FPS, 3rd person and platform games it is a waste and very annoying. I hope to god that it doesn't become a next generation standard. maybe it would be alright as an extra accessory but NEVER as the standard...

they didn't stick close enough to the story. the environments didn't feel the same. In the first story the whole thing revolved around a record snow storm. I loved that backdrop, instead of that we get heavy freezing rain and a little snow. sounds crazy but, that really changed the feel for me. also, The music played a big part in the game and added the tense feel of foreboding. the music in the movie I cannot even remember.

I use my PS3 as a media server any extra or improved codecs are a boon to me, matter of fact I hope one day that they release MKV and OGM.

When I am playing on XBL I play with people from the UK and there hasn't been a problem.
I never researched it but what is the main fundamental difference between how XBL and PSN run as regards their servers?

Why Sony cannot just separate users based on preferred language. If you have to choose a language when registering, that should be the criteria based on what servers you have access to in multiplayer.
