Regardless of the wii 2's horsepower, i don't think the levels would be too much bigger than the gc's or wii's metroid's lvls.
It isn't going to suddenly be a massive open world game or anything, it being a new console with a very substantial power jump, will take the devs yrs, to use any different architecture to it's fullest capacity.
That's at the end of console cycles or just before, but not the beginning.
I still think the idea of the cancelled metroid they were working on, sounds interesting and i don't even own a wii.
The only 2 old series the haven't done anything with in a while is star fox and f-zero, i would bet more nintendo gamers would want a new star fox than f-zero, but who knows.

Well it has to be a environment that is first habitual to humans/other life forms, second locations in the game are dependant on the story and time frame. Some times it's easier to copy a real life city than design it from scratch.
And if the game is based on real life events/reality ect cod/battlefield it is a given that you will have common regional locations or environment types that have to be believable/realistic.

@ace bodybuilding competitions those seem about bulk and appearance not actual strength to me, thats why you have the worlds strongest man competition. I have yet to see any of those guys parading themselves around in a thong, like bodybuilders do.

Yeah umm this diablo 3 were talking about not a fps with massive open areas with uber high resolution textures or an rts with 100's to thousands of individual units on screen at 1 time all doing something.

As stagnant as the cod series is, do you really expect anything unique you fool. Twilght made a hell of alot of money, doesn't make it any less of a horrible series though.
It will be another nonsense story, same multiplayer problems because they won't do a beta before it's released. Really how sh*tty is your quality assurance control system, when all 3 platforms have problems weeks after launch and you make those kind of sales numbers...

The average pc at some point will always, show the console up again because it will have a better gpu than consoles do.
Stop thinking about out doing pc's because you'll have 2 problems, first no one wants a $400+ dollar next gen console, 2nd you want that small case to run as cool as realistically possible. I guess it depends on what you define a average pc as.
They may have done it this way for the multiplayer aspect, it looked like 16-32 users from some of the videos shown. The sp mode will probably be more traditional each driver has a preset vehicle and abilities.
