Having played HS and Enslaved demo, there was no way I'd buy the full game, no matter what the price is. NT's action games are weak when it comes to what matters - the action parts. The combat is boring and the controlls are unresponsive. They should try making adventure / interactive movie games with their pretentious plots and characters.

If you are looking for Hokuto no Ken nostalgia, then you can safely skip this game. That interactive CG movie action game on the PS1 was way better in this regard. In this game a lot of the famous scenes are re-enacted poorly. The voice acting of the JP version was not that good. Those two games are masterpieces from artistic point of view but failed as consumer products. Crapcom offered to market them but Clover refused. To be fair, the company was millions of dollars in the red and it wouldn't make sense not to cut loose a studio that has complete disregard for things like cost and ROI, and blindly pursues pure artistic values in what they produce.
Pretty sure they are already doing that by shifting focus and resource to Dead Rising series.

I feel this "close range assault" game is trying to appeal to the FPS crowd who enjoy 'boom headshot' kind of entertainment.
To me, Ace Combat has always been about atmosphere of grand scale battles, the radio chatters, and the music.
