That presentation sounds like it was written by an AI using corporate buzzwords.
Was hoping for an isometric turn-based Fallout but would definitely love another entry from Obsidian in first/third person.
They are probably people with more money than sense.
Sidenote - GamerDoc, the community member who previously worked on curbing Overwatch cheating, now often posts screenshots of cheaters' reactions when they get banned. It's hilarious.
Maple Story has the potential to surpass Overwatch as an esport
It didn't help that the procedure was done in a shady clinic in Thailand. Courtesy of a shitty team manager
I guess they hoped Agents of Mayhem would pick the niche up.
The player actually did subscribe to Fallout 1st. According to the Map 76 website, cancelling the subscription was problematic after the ban.
All the other Q3 2019 AAA titles from the list outsold Minecraft
Because this is the only Q3 2019 AAA title that didn't outperform Minecraft. NBA 2K20, Borderlands 3, Madden NFL 20, FIFA 20 all did.
It is when it's a AAA title in the launch quarter. The other two AAA titles that launched in September 2019 are on #1 and #2 spots.
Unfortunately, this knowledge is either escaping them or they carefully chose words not to admit it in the report. They only noted that "gameplay innovations" introduced in GRB were not "perfectly implemented" which is why the sales suffered.
At this point, I'm glad they are ignoring Splinter Cell at the moment. They already announced they will only do big, open-world games for the foreseeable future and I would hate to see Splinter Cell bastardised by microtransaction-fueled design.
You can just google "Ubisoft earnings call" and read the full report but the sentence I copied above is literally the only mention of TD2.
This is not true. Ubisoft's exact wording from the report is "A sharp downward revision in the revenues expected from Ghost Recon Breakpoint® and, to a lesser extent, The Division® 2".
First, This refers to future, or "expected" revenue, not the sales of The Division 2
Second, GRB is the commercial failure, not The Division 2 as the headline suggests.
Third, It's been 7 months since The Division 2 released. A drop in r...
It's not unfortunate, this is fake news. Ubi's report does not say Division 2 was a commercial failure anywhere. They said Ghost Recon Breakpoint was.
The only mention of The Division 2 was that they expect less revenue in the future, which is normal as the hype died down.
I seriously don't know how this got past the moderators' eyes.
Probably a shock value type of clickbait attempt. I think it was Variety who pulled something similar when The Division 2 was released. It was getting ratings in 7/10 to 9/10 range, Variety went with 3/10 and it even started trending for a while.
Hits like one too. Probably some people like landing juicy precision shots while other like faster shooters with less recoil.
It also looks great, hands down
It's sustainable for Dota 2 because Valve only put $1.6 million in it. The rest actually just shows massive earnings for Valve since it's 25% of Battle Pass sales.
In other words, the prize pool already beat $25 million which means $23.4 came from Battle Pass. That is only a quarter, meaning Valve actually earned a total of $93.6 million so far, kept $70.2 million and inflated the prize pool with $23.4.
Play solo. I avoid group play for exactly this reason.
