I have a feeling this game could be curiously fun. I agree with you Lyberator, acheivements will be interesting.
I forgot all about the cards. Sorry about that, I didn't mean to misinform you, Violater. Thanks for correction PS360ROCKS.
but if you want to play online multiplayer, you'll need a credit or debit card to upgrade your XBL account to gold. It's really painless, and $50 for an entire year is worth it. Pay once and you don't need to worry about it again until next year.
this game is going to be a freakin' blast. I can't wait...it's looking very nice.
I personally thought they would have dropped the price more significantly. Maybe they've got a two step price drop in order...possibly to coincide with Halo 3. Who knows.
this game is looking pretty intense. The first one was pretty freaky, but this one is looking like it might take the freak cake. I'm looking forward to seeing more about this.
what is there to rationalize? It's been at the same price for a long time. With the new Falcon hardware coming out, a price cut seems more than logical. I'm sure it would help drive console sales, especially coupled with AAA releases like Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, etc. Hopefully, they'll be smart and drop the price across all SKU's.
this game is going to be great. I absolutely can't wait for this one.
this game has been different from day one. I can remember reading about this a long time ago. I've been looking forward to it, and it looks like it will be a very original, intense and fun gaming experience. Very nice.
if ratings were based on whatever platform a magazine is reviewing for, there would be a whole lot more 10's flying around. Heck, a 9/10 is not given out very often. I'm not really surprised this game scored so high. It's got a very unique story, setting, etc. It also seems very open ended with regards to available combat techniques for different situations within the game. This is going to be a must have for alot of people, myself included.
PSN has alot of catching up to do with XBL, which is to be expected with XBL having about 5 years head start. Everyone is touting HOME as the XBL killer, but I just don't see it. This is just my opinion, but HOME seems like it would lose it's novelty really fast. You go online to get the content you are looking for, or play games. Are there really that many people that are going to hang out for hours on end in their virtual pad? XBL and PSN both have frequent updates, so there's no real ...
I wasn't particularly itching to play Blue Dragon. Still, it's odd that they both scored that low, if it is indeed true. There has been much hype surrounding these games.
even the cr@ppy pictures look great. I want this game...bad.
it's really become more than a game, it's more like a phenomenon. Sales for this game are going to be through the roof. It will move software, and it will no doubt move hardware. I don't think MS "hurt" themselves at all by showing it at E3.
this looks deliciously good. I can't wait.
but another 400 points for an 18 hole expansion? I don't know...
It's getting really old hearing about all these "doomsday" stories about the PS3 and 360. Like you said, the PS3 will be fine. The 360 will be fine. They both have some truly amazing next-gen games coming out between now and the end of the year. That's what will define the competition.
I can't emphasize enough though...broadband is growing exponentially. Storage is becoming bigger and cheaper. With that technology getting into more and more people's homes, and with DOCSIS 3.0 just around the corner, it's going to allow massive file downloads in very short periods of time. Fiber to the home is a reality with companies like Verizon, and cable MSO's are starting to implement that strategy as well. I know it's not going to take over overnight, but I firmly believe that's th...
I didn't know what I said to tick everyone off either. Makes perfect sense now. Oh well, bubbles all around!
I would not be the least bit surprised if this happened. They whet people's appetite with a price cut, clear out inventory and then drop the bottom out of the price once the new hardware is available. With such a small initial price cut at first, I can't help thinking that there must not be a whole lot of surplus inventory on current SKU's. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next 60 days.
